The World is evolving

This current invasion, dispite some of the 'issues' is helping the Devs evolve the game in to what we all want it to be.....
This just my opinion based of what I have seen happen in the past in the world of Ayts.................
we started with very simple missions
This lead to a stable mission system:
Take mission->do mission->receive reward
Take mission->do mission->give item->receive reward
Take mission->get given item->give item->receive reward
Take mission->talk to another person->next next mission
Then we had raids
Hordes of mobs spawn and attack
Fight through multiple lands with trigger NPC and camps
Then we had the Easter Egg Rites missions
Do a mission get something extra - information
Now we have it all rolled it to one event.
An ongoing event:
Mission that require you to collect stuff, give stuff, swap stuff for other stuff.
Actions that create results -> NPC generation
From what I have heard on the ATS, missions will also give SKILLS (stanza) as rewards as wells loot, dapper and fame.
This event has shown that an 'event' can run in real time, and for a long period.......
The old raids we fired, and then stopped suddenly, no after effects!
If this event continues to run after the next patch ...... one of the QL200 harvest areas in each land will now have NPC guard protection, which it is up to the players to maintain..... A LASTING CHANGE TO OUR WORLD!
and where am I going with this .....
This is all just the ground work to GUILD OUTPOSTS. We are play testing our future.
Form what I understand about outposts is:
They are player 'owned',
They have NPC guards, Traders, Trainers and mission givers,
They can be built upon buy the players,
They need to be protected from raiding Mobs.
I have not had much chance to fully get involved in this event, I have to work so with limited time in the evening, finding a balance group that can all get to the same place is difficult.
But what is event has shown me is that ..... the future of Ryzom is a great one.
Actions and reactions with a lasting effect.
