Can we get a "walkthrough"?

Hi!
Let me start by saying that I have been a programmer, and understand that it can be extremely challenging to get changes into an online system without installing bugs. I am not trying to rant about there being bugs in this software, even though I am a paying customer.
Let me also state that I do not want to know everything about this game. (I don't tend to buy strategy guides, etc, as I feel they make the game boring)
That having been typed, I would like to request a written, step-by-step-and-this-will-work set of instructions on how to do the crafting quest, as I have tried going through the conversations that the NPC characters have, and cannot make it through the bugs to turn in my 5 military packages to spawn a new guard. I would like to contribute to the war effort, and feel I'm being stopped by bugs, and when I asked for help in-game, and followed those instructions, I got back to the same 'Crafter isn't taking axes' problem I had the first go-through.
My charcter isn't macho enough to go out and fight these kitins that are invading (not yet anyway) but he is good at crafting. Please help me get back into the game.

I haven't ran into the problems you describe, but I have done the crafting mission about 20 times in Tryker land so I'll step through what I did.
1) Click on the crafter NPC. He goes through two talk bubbles telling you the general info. Hit Ok on the second bubble.
2) Click on the crafter NPC again and answer, "I'd like to help" (or something similar to that, I don't have the exact words handy).
3) He asks what you'd like to build, I choose melee weapons->pyker spears->Q50. Just choose the type of item you have the ability to craft from his set of options.
4) Click on the crafter NPC and this time you'll get the "give one item" option. Trade him the items he requested you to build (in my case, it's 7 Pyker spears). He'll give you a token, a package to deliver to the war camp, and a coupon for generic raw material from the harvest camp, if there is any available.
5) Open your mission log (J key) and click "finished" to clear the mission and you'll be able to do it again.
After doing this, you need to take the items to the armory NPC in the war camp. When you find this NPC, just click on them and tell them you want to turn in an Average, Prime, etc. package. Make sure and just give this NPC one package at a time. You'll need to clear the mission from the mission log each time before you can talk to the NPC again.
The main problem I've seen people have is not clearing finished missions from the mission log. You won't be able to talk to an NPC again before you click the "finished" button on the previous mission from that NPC.

also, the NPC army is very picky. They only want the basic equipments, so don't choose medium or HQ.
And if you received an order form along with the package, that means your fellow homins are doing their parts providing kitins secretion to the Supplier
Take the order form to the Supplier and she'll give you a stack of 99 generic materials to craft with.

Oh, man! I don't know how I was supposed to guess that! I can make medium quality axes, and do so all the time, now that I can. I'll bet this is what kept 'em from taking my current load of axes...
Thanks for posting!
(And thanks to Oshido for the walkthrough, too!)

No need to guess. When you talk to the craft npc he tells you exactly what to craft , and it also appears in the mission journal.

This got me once too. For Tryker items, medium quality patterns have a "Lor" prefix. So a regular spear is a "Pyker spear" and a medium quality spear is a "Lor-Pyker Spear". It's very easy to accidentally do the wrong thing.
In this case, the NPC was aksing for a "Pyker Spear" so I had to make sure and not do the "Lor-Pyker Spear".

Something else I noticed, the mission askes for
"At Least Qxxx"
Meaning that if you take a Q50 mission, you 'should' be able to give them Q50 or greater, not just Q50, same should go for 100, 150, and 200.
I have turned in everything from basic to choice for the missions and they accept it.

You put should in quotes. Are you saying that it ought to work that way, but doesn't? In other words, have you've made, for example, Q60 stuff and they didn't take it for the Q50 missions?

I was able to give Q80 lances to fulfill the Q50 mission requirement.

Its better experience in both harvesting and crafting if you make the max level of something at the desired type then do the mission.
Like in Matis, they ask for Heavy Pyrok Vest (lowest level heavy) at Qxx
So you harvest and can make up to q90, go out, get the mats, go nuts on making q90 Heavy Pyrok Vests, then do the mission.
I try to take 24+ vests back to him at one time, if I have room on my mek, I will fill him to the rim with vests and do the quest, alot of clicking but gets the warriors created.
