A Crafty Question

This is probably a fairly basic thing but I haven't been able to get outside Zora yet to get my head round how it works by trying things in different areas.

I forage in Zora & Craft Zorai items - weapons, armour & jewellry.

If I get to, say, Fyros then presumably I will forage Fyros mats. Can I only craft Fyros items with those mats?

If so, how does PR foraging tie in ie which of the 4 races items can you craft with PR mats?

Also, and more importantly, I'm trying to work out if it is better (once I can get to other areas) to forage/craft in all 4 areas or is that just duplication and wasted effort. Would I be better sticking to one area and lvling forage/craft there. If so, any suggestions on which of the four areas would be best.

The problem is, I'm not even sure exactly what questions to ask or what the issues might be. For instance, I did hear one Fyros forager saying they couldn't find mats as the area was mined out. I've never had a problem of that nature in Zora.

I don't want to take my Zora skills much further if it turns out I would be better concentrating on one area and that area not being Zora.

As usual any answers/thoughts/suggestions will be gratefully received.

AFAIK can use basic/fine mats from any ecosystem for any crafting plans.
Once you get to choice then the mats have to match the plans (e.g. Zorai choice+ mats with Zorai plans).

The exception to this are PR mats as Diggin said.

Botht the guys are right on that.

You can use any basic/fine mats for any race plan but you can't use choice etc, they are race specific.

So if you have choice Zorai mats, you can only use them to craft Zorai armour. You can use basic/fine fyros mats to craft zorai armour, but not choice.

As Rashan said, the exception is Prime Roots mats, they can be used on ANY race's armour.

The only difference between armour from different races is the look, Fyros Medium Quality Choice Q90 Heavy Armour is no better than Matis Medium Quality Choice Q90 Heavy Armour. It all depends which you prefer the look of, personally I think Fyros LOOKS better, but that just my opinion. :)

All depends what you decide to wear or where you decide to settle/sell your mats/crafted items. If you prefer to wear/live/sell Zorai then concentrate on that mate. :)
