I'm happy to hear that they are doing this patch the right way. I'm pretty sure the majority of players won't care if the patch is delayed a few days if it means fixing things so they work. Hopefully they will follow this same procedure for future patches.January 5, 2005
Thanks to the great work of the team of players on the ATS, we have been able to identify a certain number of issues with mounts and ritual missions that needed to be fixed before the final part of chapter 2 could be released. The majority of these points have now been fixed in house and will be patched to the ATS on Thursday, January the 6th.
In just a few days time the joys of riding and the encyclopaedia will be open to all !

Ha, if ppl do care that would be kinda sad, not like they have made it this far w/ out them or anything and a little longer will kill them ;P Delays are great if they helpraynes wrote:I'm happy to hear that they are doing this patch the right way. Re: Thank You For delaying the patch some
This is a good example of how the ATS should be used. If the patches and changes have problems that have been noted on the ATS they should be fixed before rolling them out to the live servers. Good Job Nevrax! This should happen every time. Not that I want delays but better to delay it than create more problems.
Thanks for listening to the players.

I agree. When I woke and read that they where stalling to fix the issues with mounts and several other things it made me happy.

I agree too, it's great news that they are finally using the ATS as it should be.
Delays are good if it means we get the working version rather than bugs and patches.

Re: Thank You For delaying the patch some
Well I was really looking forward to all the other stuff with the patch. They could have just left that part of it out with the mounts. Plus my brother is in town tommorow and I really wanted him to see the game with all the quests in place, encyclopedia, and stuff. He mistakingly seems to think WoW is a much better game, this next patch would have really proven even more how superior Ryzom is. And you are assuming it will actually be a few days but it could turn into weeks. So this is a real bummer to hear.

If the patch went live before the fixes you probably would not want your brother seeing it as it had several Large bugs that where rather annoying.

Re: Thank You For delaying the patch some
All I can say is...thanks and about time! Had the same attention been paid to patch 1 and every other patch since, there would be a lot more players left, and a few more of us on ATS testing things.
I guess the absurd 6 hours it took to get my ATS character trained and armed was worth it after all. Annunaki has been a welcome addition.

Big Kudos to the Dev team and their managers for this decission. I do NOT mind in the very least waiting a few weeks and doing further and repeated testing, since I know it will help prevent player base errosion.
You and all the ATS testers deserve a hearty thank you!
