Heya Homins,
I have to say some maybe senseless stuff, so dont be angry, but here it is:

I was on a killingspree with a great team in the north of Verdant Hights. There it happened that I wondered about why every third word in my chat was "DING"?! Because I recogniced I dont hear a sound if me or someone else climbs the ladder one step further.... But there is a beautyful colored light that "shines" around me......
I decided then to quit with "Ding", because it belongs to other Universes (AC, EQ, HZ, UO...), and to start off with "SHINE" (wich fits also in funny and more rpgish sentences)!
Perhaps some Atys Warriors, Mages, Crafters and Harvesters may join me and my (perhaps silly) idea to create some "Ryzomish" culture in little, but allday belongings

Well, my lvling makes a song and I cannot describe it better but "ding". The "ding, grats" routine just fits in. A guildy in Evolution is standard replying with "dong, grats!"

Anyways, You dont get a sound? I do when I lvl, althought I also would like to see other people's leveling cinematics. Hmmm, that is a nice suggestion there

Im actually tired of everyone announcing their lvls all the time each lvl up.. its ok to announce like "Ding! lvl 50 Defensive magician!!"
or: " 2 lvls to medium quality 2h swords!!"

but: "A: DING, 20 melee, B: DING 12 magic, A: DING 21 Melee, B: Ding 13 Magic...." Good gawd make it stop!!

..and yes I feel a bit cranky today

right.... i dont use ding, dong etc so often just when i hit a lvl ive really been waiting for or soemthing like that anyway "shine" sounds fun

Bah DING is overused.
I only ding at 50 level intervals, so it acually has value.

So instead of killing the mob, everyone is too busy typing ding or grats
