Tips On Getting A Rez

So you died and are in need of a REZ.

Who are you gonna call?
Ghostbusters? Probably not! :)

So you put out a REGIONAL call "I need a rez, plz"
Then there comes a response OK, where are you?
HOORAY! help responded :)

However, now starts a game of 20 questions as to "where is the Rezee?".
By the time the Rezer and Rezee finally communicate how to get together, both are frustrated at the other, and the timer may have run out!

Or the Rezzer finds you, and is promptly killed by what killed you! :(



So how do you make it easy for the Rezer to help you? and to survive in the process?

SPECIFIC LOCATION
Common known Landmark (Tower Bridge Camp)
Distance away from Landmark (75 meters)
Direction from Landmark (Southwest)

EXAMPLE - Rez plz, 75 meters Southwest of TB Camp



GUIDE THE REZER TO YOU

Expand your RADAR to at least 125m.
Watch your RADAR, you can see them coming. Tell them their distance away and direction.
If they start to turn away in the wrong direction, tell them.



BE VISIBLE

Keep talking - your talk bubble can be seen from a great distance.

Your corpse is hard to see until very close. The radar blip of your corpse is next to useless, as the color is indistinguishable from other corpses, and can be hidden by nearby radar blips.



WHAT SHOULD THE REZER KNOW?

Is the Mob that killed you nearby? Identify it.
It probably will agro the Rezer, unless the agro times out, or the Mob moves off a long way, or is killed.

How much time is left on your RESPAWN TIMER?
This helps in determining the agro timer, as well as the rez urgency.
The Rezer may give you a heal or two to lengthen the RESPAWN TIMER. This may be needed to get rid of the agro Mob. Tell the Rezer what the RESPAWN TIMER increased to.

Remember that the Rezer can see more than you can. They need to figure out the best plan to get you up, and have you both survive the process.



Make it easy for the Rezer. Help them to help you. Keep it simple, keep it clear, and keep talking.

And above all, make the Rezer feel good about what they are doing! Praise and Thank You go along way to motivating a Rezer to do it again!

May you never need a rez, but should you do, may it come quickly and with little difficulty!

It is good to know and remember. I know I for one have had to call for a rez, and unfortunately have said, oh by a road. on the left side.

But it has worked out they have found me. But all the information yu wrote is very good. I will remember it next time.

Other landmarks are WELL known material nodes nearby (IE Need rez near the Moon resin spot SW of town)
And MOST agro is gone when you hit 2min rez timer.

OH and when you are rezzed, a thank you is nice (once you and rezzer are both safe of course). I would also note the rezzers name and keep an eye open for them if you and they are hunting or foraging in the same area. A thank you is nice, a rez in return is doubly so. (this will also likely make you a good friend).

This is why ryzom needs an /invite x command so you could pinpoint the rezee' location. The rezer should have his radar on 250m so he could see a little blue dot at the approximate given location.

This is a VERY good idea, I think you should be able to invite ANYONE within the same "terrain" or racial lands (IE if they are in Fyrosian lands and YOU are within Fyrosian lands and your name is Fred, they should be able to type in /invite Fred and you get the group invite box, which SHOULD work even if you are dead.)

the problem here is that the dead body is NOT blue anymore - it is a bright yellow like every other dead body. I spent most of last night being a Kraembulance around Pyr and it was not easy. This is a very good Post and has some great tips. The only thing I can add is to the Rezzer, make a stanza for rezzing only. Make it your max healling at only sap and healing cost - forget the distance modifier. If you can heal from 50m, there is a good chance, that whatever aggro killed them and they 'forgot' to tell you about WON'T even notice you. I know it sounds mean, however if you rez a person, and they are swamped by aggro again, you know you might have died AnD you have just reset thier timer so you can switch tactics to remove the aggo first and rez after...

Oh, and to everyone... Please do NOT drink and play. This is one Kraembulance driver that had some not nice things to say after the umpteeth time of rezzes, needed one and was laughed at because they group that needed them were drunk off their bottoms... /end rant

The risks of logging on on New Years. Probably have the same problem on St. Pattric's Day.

When grouped...you can follow the map to the NAMED figure, which remains at the death site until you respawn. So they would have to pop up the map, not that hard *taps m key*
