A FEW TIPS ON MISSIONS

Visiting camp after camp I want to share some expiriences I had with task:
1. Check your journal often - if you have 5+ missions at once you might loose track which allready are accomplished otherwise and waste time.
2. Foraging missions are to be avoided in the beginning- even as an apprentice prospector you'll find it hard to get the stuff in quantities and will waste lots of time with prospecting. I decided to wait until I am ready to go for mainland and try these tasks before I leave. The only way to do them efficient imo is having harvesting 20+, take as many of those missions as you can and spend a whole evening harvesting.
3. Crafting tasks involving armor and weapons pay off even if you have to buy ALL the components and therefore help you in skilling up. But be carefull if round numbers are asked for - trying to craft p.e. 8 Q10 sleeves with Q10 mats might easily give you 2 Q9 degrades which will make you loose dapper in selling them. I only skilled up crafting on missions if one of the local retailers payed a premium on the same items. Afaik jab dagger and hoben boots are in most camps a mission AND a (local retailer)premium item as well.
NOTE! Crafting mission ONLY count the items you craft AFTER getting the mission. Its no use crafting jab daggers and getting the mission then, the "give Item" option will not show until you crafted the appropriate number anew. But it is possible to give "older" stuff once you finished crafting. An example: I crafted hoben boots to sell to a local retailer for premium but during that I discovered a crafting mission for 7 Q6 boots (afair). since i used quatered and harvested mats I had about Q5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9. So I got the mission and crafted 7 Q10 boots (2 degrades Q9) with bought mats. Journal said mission accomplished but I actually gave the officer Q7, 8, 9, 9, 9, 10, 10 and sold the rest of the Q10 fora premium to a local retailer. In fact the system knows WHEN you craft the stuff but doesnt care when you crafted the stuff you actually TURN IN.
4. Mob missions have to be bundled. In most camps 2 different officers ask you to kill the same mobs (and maybe prove their popuation first by finding/targeting one). - Yubos and gingos(?) are mostly tied to 3-4 missions in the same camp so collecting the missions from all 4 officers and farming the mobs for 15 min really pays off. You can even get exactly the same mission in another camp and milk the mobs for more that way.
5. Quatering missions should only be done if you know which mobs drop the stuff. In case of hairs and meat the item usually states the mob and so you learn it from the mission description but otherwise you only waste time guessing who drops the stuff.
AGAIN the system only accepts what you loot AFTER getting the mission for the accomplished status so its no use in keeping "quest loot" on your toon - just destroy it before it starts blocking your inventory!
6. Delivery missions (given by local retailers) involve bringing parcels or letters (labellled "?" in your inventory) to other camps. So if you are about to visit another camp get ALL delivery missions for that camp and make good faction and $ for no additional effort. The "urgent" missions have a timer of 4 min which will work UNLESS you travel from one corner of the isle to another. For me it always worked travelling from or to the middle camp and along the outer rims. The "speed" ability also helps completing these in time
In case I made any mistakes or wrong assumptions please feel free to correct
I hope this will help enjoying noob island a bit more for everyone
