Hands Bars: Improvment request. Feedback Requested.

OK, I have made this suggestion both in game, and through e-mail support about the Hands bars, and wanted to put my ideas here so that we can get the best improvement out of the dev's time, and so that you all can express your desire for the same or similar improvements. I have 3 requests, please add your feedback and or modifications. Making these changes would eliminate hours and hours of needless downtime that is just plain old aggravating in updating your actions with the new skills that you have trained.

1. Make it possible to copy a hands bar to another Hand's bar.
This should be fairly easy and could be implemented to match the copy Desktop functionality that currently exists. I.e. Copy current hands bar to hands bar X. Where X is the hands bar to copy to. Seems pretty straight forward, and I need to have it as soon as possible.
2. Make it possible to copy an action, within the same Hand's bar.
A right click copy to option would work that pops up and asks you to type in the shortcut number that you wish to copy to, or a mouse drag action popup that says move or copy? Or the good old right click copy, right click paste. Any of these ways works for me.
3. Make it possible to copy an action, to another Hand's bar.
Probably the best way to do this would be as a copy/paste function as we all are use to in other applications and is described above, that way I right click and select copy, and switch to a different hands bar and then right click and select paste on the slot where I want the action. You could do this with the right click copy to option, and have the popup also ask for the Hands bar you want the action on in addition to the slot. The third option I see here is If this is as easy as drag and drop, maybe you can have 2 hands bars open, but only 1 be active. That way I can drag the action to the second hands bar and get the popup asking me whether to move or copy.

Well, have a blast adding your input, and please post if you desire this feature in some form or another I am going to add a poll so that we can quickly tally the desire for the devs, if you show your interest and the feature is easy to code, maybe we can have it in next weeks patch.

The devs have been great with adding desired features, and has anyone noticed that there has been no patch since the 23rd, that is a full week. Things are really looking good!

I think he means between 2 different Hands bars.

For example, A heal spell on Bar 1 that you would like to migrate also to Bar 4. There is no way to do that without actually having to recreate the spell on Bar 4.

I agree, that would be a definate help, but would be lower on my wish list than "Lore and Content."

I agree with these requests, and have mentioned them before myself to others. Basically, what I would like to see would be a "bank" where you can put your custom actions. Then you could copy each action as often as you like to any hands bar, or paste multiple copies to a single (or multitple) hands bar(s) if you like. I would think this would be quite easy to implement.

I realize this is slightly different from some of the items the first poster mentions, but I think it would go a long way towards addressing this issue.

I have not myself had the need to copy an entire hands bar to a different hands bar.

Doctor Z.

Actualy, like Dr. Z I realy have no need for number 1, and number 2 is already implimented, but number 3 would be realy nice. The action that lets you cast spells crystalized on weapons, can't be duplicated, least not that I have found, so if you need a copy on another had bar, or accidentaly delete it...

I agree with asaseth on point 3...i keep having to make NEW invul and self-heal stanzas on each row and it gets annoying :P

What I'd really like to see is a central "actions" panel that had all of the custom actions you've defined along with all of the default actions you've trained in.

That way, if you defined an action in one of your hands bar, it would also show up in that panel. You could then drag this action from that panel to your hands bar, which allows you to essentially copy or move actions between hands bars.

P.S. I submitted this suggestion in early beta as well as right after launch.

Do you mean that you cant find the icon that lets you cast the spell that you have crystallized onto the weapon in your right hand?
If so, go into your action progression window. CLick "Fight." Then on the right there should be the icon for enchantments, which you can drag to any bar you like.
Hope that helps! :-)
