Advice to potential Magi of Zorai

Post by josephm »

Don't get rot spells until later. Plevel a little and save up for them around 50ish and get the whole shebang. I saw a lot of little plants in Tryker but there are no Psykopia or Slevani under 'Robust' (approx level 60) in Zorai. The missions are wrong. It's a great spell after you are able to hunt in Maiden grove.

Just noticed some magic users who made the same mistake I did and wanted to prevent as many future incidents as possible.

I'm a Tryker mage, and I've only invested in Acid and Ice as my missile spells so far (lv. 60 offensive magic) so far though, I've never really seen a use for rot. Is it even worth it to ever get it? Or should I just save up a mass of SP so I can purchace the higher-end racial spells later on?

Yes, if you are going to fight plants then rot is best untill you get elemental nuking abilities at lvl 125 ;P Don't worry about the SP really though as you will have an abundance of them once you get high enough ;) I would however suggest that you don't get ice as there is not much of a use for it that I know of. Acid and rot and you will be just fine ;)

In the few tests I've done since I got the racial nukes, I noticed that rot is still more dmg for plants and cold is still more dmg for most kitins, but the racial nukes seem to hit more often than the basics. The net effect was that the mob would die faster and with less sap/hp usage using the racial nukes.

(this is based off a handful of tests done about 3-4 weeks ago; it's not a multi-day study, so it's possible the dice-rolls were just against me that day)
