it will spontaneously show up and I can't move or anything. It stays there until I have to quit the game. I dont really even need to do anything, it pops up just randomly.
What internet connection do you have? sounds like you have a latency issue.piman wrote:it will spontaneously show up and I can't move or anything. It stays there until I have to quit the game. I dont really even need to do anything, it pops up just randomly.
And for the non-technically-minded of you, that means you lag a lot ;Pbullough wrote:What internet connection do you have? sounds like you have a latency issue.
It does retry automaticaly for at least 90 seconds. Dunno what the timer is set to thophilu wrote:I had a similar issue over the weekend. A couple of times I got the please wait and had to relog.
On both occasions, my connection had died.
Had a similar problem once before and, when I reconnected, Ryzom continued, but not this time.
It does sound like it could be a connectivity issue.
If it happens again, look at the network screen (press N) and check the connction status. It will probably say "FS Lost". That's what I was getting.
We could do with a handy 'Retry connection' option somewhere in game!![]()
When this happens next time, press n to bring up your network connection box, then expand it by clicking on the title bar. It should say "fs lost" on the last line. Now click on you mailbox button. This should reset the connection and you should see it change from fs lost to probe and sync. If this doesn't result in connected status in about 20 secs, you have a problem with your isp.piman wrote:it will spontaneously show up and I can't move or anything. That makes no sense. It can still be the game servers...juahonen wrote:When this happens next time, press n to bring up your network connection box, then expand it by clicking on the title bar.
