I'm curious about "the goo".
What is it?
Where did it come from?
What causes it to grow?
How can it be pushed back?
Why is it that only the jungles of Zorai are bordered by the goo?
Is it possible to become resistant to the effects of goo damage?
Why are all the goo-affiliated tribes anti-Zorai and anti-kami?

Just a few things I've been pondering lately, maybe some of you have your own speculations in regards to the topic you could enlighten me with

i have noticed alot of missions telling me to go kill goo infected mobs and such but i have never seen a frahar goo so i am clueless myself on this goo o.0

What is it?
"The Goo is the cancer of Atys. Atys is an organic planet and you'll have to discover in the game how it was populated and by whom. And... (you'll go play to find out). but Atys has a problem, it has a kind of cancer called Goo by the homins."
"The Goo is a serious matter and there are sources of Goo appearing and invading civilizations' territories. It will have to be pusehd back, otherwise creatures become ill too and more aggressive and their stats increase. And... (you'll find out in the game)

No idea, I assume it's always been there.

What causes it to grow?
No clue, not enough in game to really figure this out yet.

How can it be pushed back?
No clue, not enough in game to really figure this out yet.

No clue, not enough in game to really figure this out yet.

Is it possible to become resistant to the effects of goo damage?
Not as far as I can tell. Invincibility doesn't even work on it.

Why are all the goo-affiliated tribes anti-Zorai and anti-kami?
My guess is that the Karavan don't see the goo as a threat (as they really don't care about Atys, just it's resources).


The thing to remember at this point is that there really is almost no content or story stuff in game. None of the tribes give information, so it's not possible to learn about the goo yet.

we, the Zorai Goo Fighters, a guild of mostly Zorai have devoted our endevours on Atys to fight the Goo plague.

Unforunately, we are a german Guild, based on the Leonon shard. If you know a little german, please visit us on http://www.zoraigoofighter.net. Under the item "wissen " (knowledge) we have collected a vast amount of knowledge concerning the Goo. Since it is from beta, it may be obsolete by now.
To answer some of your questions:

We Zorai choose to deliberately settle in goo-bordered lands to be constantly reminded of our duty towards Atys and the Kami.
The tribes you mention worship the Goo as a kind of idol and try to spread it, making them the natural enemies to all Zorai (all homins in fact).
As to your questions concerning from whence the Goo came and if it can be pushed back, i must answer that as of yet no one knows. It is assumed that it wil take the lifetimesr of many dedicated homins to find exactly the answers to your, and our, questions.

It would be nice to see some people on Windermeer take a more aggressive stance against the goo and the evil tribes affiliated with it as well.

The problem with taking a stand against those tribes is that they are all level 150+. If you want to do an event where a bunch of us go kill those tribes, I'd be happy to help ya.

The Goo Offensive will begin soon! Many strong warriors and mages of the Kami will be needed. I'll set something up for next weekend or the one afterwards when there's lots of righteous homins ready to strike back at those evil goo-ridden bastages. If all goes well we might make it a regular thing... killing evil goo dudes!

I read somewhere goo infected creatures are stonger....so how do I get infected?
