The ole pain in the butt is back! I'm STARTING to get a clue tho. Still on newbie island but at 19 in fight so Im thinking..... To business!

We can not trade directly with other players? Or share cash?

Game sets all prices? Will they be the same for the same item?

The stars on an item are NOT the sole determing factor for their worth?

I've seen a few Q50 items on newbie island - I assume theres higher on the mainland? Does a q100 exist?

Assuming the same materials are used can a different Q item be created?
Randomly generated based on skill?

Gonna take some prior advice and stop here. Fewer questions per thread is a good thing!

You can right-click on a player and invite them to exchange with you to share items and cash.

Game doesn't set prices of items sold by players, it just provides a default.

Stars on armor are 1 for light, 2 for medium, and 3 for heavy armor.

Quality goes up to 250, or is it 260?

A level 70 crafter say can craft items UP TO q80, or any Q under that they choose in increments of 10. The Q of the lowest Q mat that you use is also a limiter in the Q of the final item.

Welcome back :D

We can not trade directly with other players? Or share cash?

- Nope you can trade directly between players and give away cash (Right click on other player - select exchange)

Game sets all prices? Will they be the same for the same item?

-Item prices vary based on what materials were used to make it, NPC item prices are very high. Player sold items have a default price, the seller can change this price)

The stars on an item are NOT the sole determing factor for their worth?

-The stars on armour relate to type * = Light, **=Medium ***=Heavy

I've seen a few Q50 items on newbie island - I assume theres higher on the mainland? Does a q100 exist?

-Max QL is currently ql250 .... if you can find a crafter who is lvl 240+

Assuming the same materials are used can a different Q item be created?
Randomly generated based on skill?

- Quality Lvl (ql) is determined by crafter skill and ql of material used.
- Quality (Q) or Grade is determined by the materials Q used in making the item.

**Don't worry it get even more complicated ... but later it will all make sense and seem really simple :P

Gonna take some prior advice and stop here. Fewer questions per thread is a good thing!

- Yep avoids info overload.

Thank you! As seems to be the norm I was incorrect! Nice tip on exchanging items and cash. And I really feel foolish bout the stars gaff. Here I've been trying to upgrade to all 3 stars just because they were 3 stars. Gotta start learning to read those stats. I initially thought this game was much simpler than EQ, but again, that might not be totally true.

You can, targeting another player and right clicking brings up an interaction menu. One of the entries should be Exchange. The Exchange window (once the other person has agreed) contains a way to trade items and money.

Game sets all prices? Will they be the same for the same item?
There is a base price determined mostly by item quality and type which will be the same for that quality and type. Players selling items into the market have the ability to set sale prices above this base price. Note that player made items are (almost) always better than similar npc items and are generally much less expensive.

The stars on an item are NOT the sole determing factor for their worth?
Not sure, I think it is mostly the quality of the item

I've seen a few Q50 items on newbie island - I assume theres higher on the mainland? Does a q100 exist?
quality goes up to 250 on the mainland. Come and have some fun.

Assuming the same materials are used can a different Q item be created?
Randomly generated based on skill?
Q is determined by user skill and the mats used. Any item created is at best the q of the worst mat used. i.e An earring made using q 10 jewel setting and q 20 jewel will be at most level 10. Crafting skills with names like Matis Jewel Crafting 2 will allow you to create items of higher quality, right click on them at the crafting trainer for more info. These skills generally create items of the best quality that the skill and mats will allow, but can sometimes fail and produce degraded items of decreased q.
