[Xortes Event] 2nd Attempt Round the World Trip [Sunday 19th Dec]
Posted: Thu Dec 16, 2004 10:33 am
Hiya
Lots of people seem to be willing to try this again
Seeing as we made it to Matis last time I'm thinking we should start in Matis this time.
The Route
---------------------------------
Matis --> Trykker
Trykker --> Zorai
Zorai --> Fyros
Time and Meeting Places
---------------------------------
10am --> meet in Matis (Yrk) just inside the main gate
10.15 --> Organise teams and buy TP
10.30 --> Depart to Trykker via Paths
11am --> Arrive Loria 1st Portal
(5 minute break)
11.05 --> First attempt to Trykker (there may be several attempts here)
(5 minute break around 12)
1pm --> Arrive Avendale
1.20pm --> Arrive FairHaven
(5 minute break)
1.30pm --> Re-organise groups and Depart to Zorai via PR
2.30pm --> Arrive Zorai PR side
(5 minute break)
2.50pm --> Arrive Zora
If we make it to Zora in good time we could perhaps reverse the route and
head back the way we came or push onto Fyros (not sure how hard that is) But I think for now we are gonna end in Zorai.
Please note these times are estimates we may be much earlier or much later.
Key Meeting Places
-------------------------------
10am --> Matis (Yrk)
1.30pm --> FairHaven
2.50pm --> Zora
Strategy and Tactics
---------------------------------
We we will have 3 power groups who will consist of high level players.
We learned last time that if the front groups run off too fast the rear end is in danger of being obliterated.
The strategy is to have a triangle shape with 1 power team at the front of the group and two Power teams at the back with all the regular groups inside the triangle. If we can hold this triangle position we will be pretty strong.
the power teams need to have 9 players of high level able to quickly take down the evils we find in Loria.
All teams must have tanks and healers at least.
We will elect a pathfinder at each stage who we will follow.
Things that would Help
---------------------------------------
If you could be pretty much pre-teamed before we start that would be good.
Staying in the triangle formation would help and the group moving as one (slightly slower) group would help alot.
Not running ahead of the pathfinder would be great.
Not complaining would also be nice. It's hard to organise these things and
even harder to keep control during a frantic battle - but please try to
stay in good humour.
Don't worry about DP. We are all gonna get probably max DP so be preapred for that and write yourself off a few days to clear the DP after the event.
Trying not to PM me and the Pathfinder every 5 seconds would be helpful. As its not easy trying to answer hundreds of PM's and organise and stay alive !
It would also be very helpul if only Team Leaders and organizers used shout so we can clearly see which commands to follow.
Phew
Think Thats it for now
