The title says it all. Why do players need supreme mats from the Prime Roots as opposed to Excellent Q250 mats from above ground?

Here is the primary reason Raynes we all have specialties some of us have worked months to make it to the higher levels of PR forage. In earlier posts you mentioned that PR is supposed to be level 200+ which is in error. PR starts at level 100+ take windy gate as a for example a region created for level 100+

#2 to make these higher levels in your chosen specialty you have to forage... It doesnt just appear so foraging in PR to become an advanced or better PR forager requires this.

Personally I levelled for a long time above ground. only 5 levels off expert forest. 14 off of expert PR. Has everything to do with change of pace and livability in a game with 0 content. Nerfs with no addded content makes less to do also=less subscribers.

So just because you want the best mats in the game, you should get them??? And what exactly is going to be the reward for getting to really high to max level in harvesting? You have access to the best mats well before that, what is the benefit?

I craft things from all 4 races, from q50 to q80 (light and medium fyros/matis/zorai 110 in a week or so). When I get those, I want Tryker heavy at 110. Also 50 with Tryker range, Matis amps. There's no way in hell I'm going to learn exc/sup locations for 4 different lands, let alone dealing with the mat juggling

There's also an element of 'because it's there'ism.

Why do people need any forage in lands beyond their original? Why can I make matis, tryker *and* zorai light when all I need is Zorai? Why do I try for medium and high quality craft when there are no bonuses beyond low quality? Why do I make weapons when someone else will always do it better and I can just buy them? Why raise combat in sword, pike and magic when all I really need is one good sword?

The answer is the same for all those as it is for Primes. Because they are there and because I want to.

Excellent jungle big shell may be no worse than excellent prime roots big shell, but maybe I know where to find a source in the primes when I can't find one in Zora.

Prime forages are a sort of 'wonder mat' where you can use it in any racial craft. And so, yes, I can find excellent shu fiber in the nexus, but I can only use it on Matis goods. Why not find a Prime source and use it in all my racial crafting? I don't know if you've ever tried finding high q mats for tryker armour, but I am a low level forager. The ones I have or can get are well supplimented with Prime mats to allow me to make good armour when I have no access to fiber or oils from forage.

It's an issue because the excelent mats on the surface spawn when you run into a situation like.

it's a tuesday.
and it's winter
and it's raining.

and supreme mats seem to spawn with conditions such as...
it's spring.
and it's snowing in pyr raining in zora, and clear skys in yrk.
and it rained between 10:01 am and 10:10 am in moscow last friday.
and Last weeks lotto winner had a name starting with a Q.
and There is a hoard of kincher standing on it and said kincher have not been killed yet.

Even spots like those directly under unkillable bosses, with a confirmed 250,000 hp and regen to match, only spawn basic/fine/choice mats.

in the PR the requirements are things like

It's raining
it's not raining
it's day
it's night
it's spring
it's winter
it's fall
it's summer
pick one or twi

So the answer that everyone has is becuase they want to. Well lots of people want to do lots of things, but that does not mean they should.

Don't forget my answer was because it makes multiracial crafting and grinding much much easier
