Crash after patching

I was going to login for the first time and had to patch my client. After it was done I clicked the relaunch button and the client died. Then when I opened it again it wanted to patch although there was nothing to patch and when it was done I got this error message again. I tried several times and the same thing happened. I also tried to patch using the DOS prompt program thingie in the SoR directory but the problem remains.

I do have AGP memory reserved, 64mb, more than what's needed and I use the latest chipset drivers.

same here, just started free trial, downloaded from bittorrent, installed, patched, says it's going to reboot, crashed trying to shutdown. when restarted says checksum's are invalid. tries to copy the files from the unpack directory, errors on deleting the file from "unpack" tried a few things, such as deleting the files in the unpack directory and redownloading them through the launcher, tried the recovery executeable in the directory, repatched to no avail. tried running the .bat file that is created after the patching. made a small difference in that it will now allow me to launch with the correct executeable version, but the fonts are invalid still. any solutions?

This is how it looks before the error occurs. ~20 files are checked with the same text infront of it.

Ditto same here. I see there are a few of us trying to log in. I hope this is a resolvable issue ... I must escape EQ2!!!!
