Too much down time and reasons not transparent

Hi world,
I'm posting my own opinion and feel free to add your own. But please don't start a flame war.
I feel that there is too much down time for SOR (especially these pass few days). The most hateful thing is that Nevrax never released any information about the reason why the server is down (except for the login server stuff)
I try to be more understanding (but how can I do so if I'm unable to judge whether they have purposely make disabling the server a habit or all the occurances are due to different reasons)
Also, I get a feeling that whenever a patch is to be done, the server will be down for many hours. Personally I tie this to poor planning, please correct me if I'm wrong. With good planning, they just need to replace those patched files and run a program that converts the database (if that is needed)
Also, I hate it when they don't give me an estimated time of completion. I don't mind if the patches take longer than the estimated time but with the estimated time, I can do other things before the estimated time and not as what I'm doing now - keep checking back every now and then.
I will like to stress again - all those issues are frustrating and annoying added together
Thanks for hearing my grumbles
