Ryzom

Hello everybody, i happend to stumble over this webpage for some time ago, and now i have finally downloaded the trialversion.
I have been playing Dark age of camelot for some years and moved on to Anarchy Online a couple of months ago. Been in great guilds and spent ALOT of time playing So, what can i expect from this game to get me hooked? My thoughts was that i could play AO until Darkfall arrives, but that can take some time it seems. But AO isnt that interesting anymore, tho its a good game.

Is there good PVP in this game? Easy to understand?
Please post some comments that will convince me
Im just curious on how this game is compared to others.

There will be PVP in about 4 hours.

As for what will get you hooked, well that is really an individual thing. For me it's the combination of the true exploration element and the idea of finding new tribes to learn new things from them.

Hi Glennjac, welcome to SOR.

For your question, I think it will be best for you to experience it yourself.

However, the sad fact is that in the noob island, it is hard to find experienced player who can teach you the "rope".

However, if you encounter need any help, try typing '/who' and then type '/tell *name* *message* where *name* is a name you choose in the /who command and *message* is the message you want to ask.

The best thing I like about SOR is that most of the players are helpful and friendly.

However, I'm quite sure that you will be hooked to it. In fact I'm relieved that I did not give up at the initial phase. (Due to the steep learning curve and poor tutorials - in fact to me there is no tutorials.)

1. Well in my opinion you can expect to come by some very nice folks, most people in fact

2. Amazing graphics

3. Not a easy game (you will die alot...believe me...) and thats good if you know what i mean

4. Excelent skill system, don´t feel much like grind over the fact you have alot of options

5. The game got some great potencial in my opinion

6. Exploring is actually a adventure (see point 3)

7. Got a realistic and different feel compared to other games

I can only tell you what I like but, I think the fealing is mutual.

1. The other players are great.

2. Its simple to learn and play.

3. You wont have to start a new char to try skills other than the ones you started with.

4. Its not needlessly complictated.
