I have been down to see if I can get some mats a few times now and all I get is DP for my effort, I seriously want to understand the reason for making it a nightmare to try and harvest there but none comes to mind.

The Dev’s say it was to stop an exploit, well Question what exploit tell us, then we might understand. I at the moment have given up trying to harvest there and so have many others, I ask myself is this really what they wanted an empty region just the mobs to roam around.

I sat for a few hours and said hello on region but all was quiet at a time when I could have quite a few laughs with other adventurers in to PR.

I’m not interested in the few who tell me they can do it, fine carry on if they want an elitist PR where they can harvest and others can’t, go and be smug somewhere else, because if I was faced with the agro that is there now I would not have even started to harvest there.

PR was hard enough, when u first start it’s very hard then you get the hang of it and that’s when your time starts to pay off and that is the way it should be, Not this player Kill Zone it now is.

Which root zone are you talking about? They are all very different with different levels of aggro.

You don't want the opinion of someone who can, so I won't talk about that!

I haven't seen any mention of an Exploit in the roots, there was however mention of an Aggro Exploit in general in all lands, when have been given and details on it, nor will we ..... posting exploits is against the Nevrax policy!

PR was easy at release, extremely hard around patch 17 ish.

The weekend after the Nexus invasion it was almost aggro free!

Immediately after the last patch, it was very very bad but still do-able.

From the root regions I have visited the mobs seem the be settling in and spreading out.

There are a lot of aggro around the TPs, but they are working on this .... see Nervax post (posted by Lawrence).

I must be challenged then because I found that I now have 4 patrols crossing my forage area.

I mainly used the trench of trials, but other areas i have also used but i had taken the time and effort to find all that i need in the Trench.

Yes I am fully aware that things became very quiet after the invasion weekend and i saw straight away that was because they had plans for that area no other reason than a clearance before the storm.

Try the wood spot Neun or the visc sap or the Buo fibre these are now knee deep in varnix, i didn't even get close to the big shell.

As for settling in they had it right in the first place, remember the old rule "If it's not broken don't fix it". If they spred out anymore then we won't make it 3 meters from the tp's.

I have heard ppl say its seasonal possibly well that maybe the case but no word from the powers that be about that.

A challenge you say well I have climbed that wall once only for another to be thrown in my path ( remember there is a very fine line between being flexable and being F***ed around) at this point the line has been widely crossed.

Yep the lower regions of the TofT are very very very nasty!

I completely agree that its OTT.

I needed to know the region because other areas are not too bad.

With the TofT, I ported to the Karavan TP say they had put Juba in the passage out and doubles the cute pop! Frisky little so and so's too.

I feel your pain on that one died twice before porting out.

The kami side is much more friendly. Till you hit the middle.

Its kinda a catch 22, I may pick a time of day when 'I get lucky' and if I post that the Elusive Forest was impossible after the patch, but on Sat I travelled 3/4 of the way to the Kami Oasis portal before getting killed cas a eager customer wanted their white armour and thought I may have forgetton in the five mins between their tells! I am sure that 'the devs' may re-oganise the aggro.

The mobs and their layout are changing! Almost hourly! BorgUK says his spot is on a patrol cross-over on Thursday/Friday he couldn't even leave the portal.

I have noticed that the non-aggro is slowly controlling the aggro which is nice!

Is it the White Wood spot or the Black Wood Spot? The White one next to the Black Oil used to be safe ish (infrequent partol). The oil used to be just in sight of 5 patrols.

North of here is a number of mat spots but I gave up going that way .... after I found that almost all the patrols pass through this choke point!

Not many groups have been across the Lower TofT region so I guess that it is just taking longer to settle that other areas.

The Sap spots are they the ones near the Tryancah's They always seemed hit and hit to me, one day you could walk there with ya eyes closed and others it felt like the lizards aggrod you for a huge distance. The fibre spot just SW of the Sap was always hit and miss, used to be on a path of a Kincher!

The trouble is my only reason for going in the lower regions of TofT is to check out the area and help guildies

I prefer to explore other areas and know of a enough 'safe zones' to fullfil my mat needs. Yes I still die down there, alot! I have just found that it pays to keep you options open. I was gob-smaked by the event in the Nexus, becuase it open all the roots (excluding underspring - that was open to Fyros and Zorai from day 1) to any player, who was able to attend. Getting the Nexus spawns was the best Xmas present Nevrax could give a harvester!

Its really difficult, I see white and black armour as common around the lands, and I understand that you only need majortiy colour to make it ... but it does mean that the harvesters are harvesting even in these tough times.

Would just like to add ....

Winds of Muse is perfect! enough aggro to challange, nice spots, two teleports (working). Some named mob culusters. Basically I would have loved to the lvl 50-100 harvester and had this zone. Went fighting in there with a couple of guild members and harvested there, becuase of the changes in L of L.

Fount haven't had much time to fully explore here but Mel and I did have a nose around, again mob placement is good and I can't speak for the harvesting. We were too busy, to get our picks out. Great for lvl 100-150

Bounty Beaches - mixed feelings managed to sneak from Root Portal to the Fount potral, but I know the round the world group struggled ad got wiped
I am guessing the large number of cutes at the portals will be reduced as mentioned mob placement report.

Enchanted Isle - Oh how I wish I could explore this place, way out of my league!

Lagoons of Lorai - nasty after patch, got even worse, seems to be improving. Portal aggro, avoidable, but the numbers are way too high!

Darkmoor? are you ever going to put anything here?

Tryker has always been a bit messed up since release:

BB - impossible for a time
LofL - used to be way to easy for harvesters, bad now (Sunday morning), improving (Sunday afternoon)!

WoM/EI/Fount - were no go areas

Finally our outlands make sense and lvl match the mobs/spots/difficulty.

Can we try and do this to the roots?

eg - TofT south lvl 200 area, Travel route to Zorai.

From the changes you have made, it appears that you can get it right! Keep it up and make all the regions fun.

Keep you the flow of info .... that one post about the mobs, could be the start of a great to way communication between you and us.

There are a group of players, which really care about the game and its future.

I don't want it to be easy or impossible. The weekend before last I played less, when the mob numbers were low (easy mode), than I did this weekend when it was tough but a challange! When an area is 'right' you just know its right!
