There will be a major patch on December 14th. This patch provides a number of improvements to the game and introduces the first of the three sets of Chapter 2 features.

The patch highlights include :

I killed the named Yubo on the ATS, I got an Excellent counterballance of the same Q level you would expect a FIRST tier mob to drop...lets just say...it was NOT a STOP THE PRESSES kind of item...and NO it was NOT equipable without crafting.

I just hope that they fix the targeting bug (target a mob and get... in your target box...the WRONG name), before sending this version to the live servers.

Thats 3 bosses.... that yubo wasnt a boss, it was just named. Bosses before this patch are metallic in color. I've no idea what color these new 3 will be.

I am really happy that Nevrax has gotten their priorities in order. We really deserve hair styles, tatoos & music ahead of fixing existing bugs and broken teleporters. Those of us who have played since release and the new players entering the game are being treated like children who are given candy to keep them quiet when what they really need is a wholesome meal.

That's the case for so many of these types of games. Though the minor bugs are an annoyance, it's not enough to make people stop playing. But, the lack of content or fancy new features cannot be ignored; so thus, there is their priority.

Most critical bugs are being fixed, and suprisingly most don't make the patch notes :(

They do happen to have art and music people on their team that can't fix bugs. Better to have them do something than sit with their thumb in the nether-regions ey?

- Three major new 'bosses' who, when defeated, yield unique new equipment to their opponents

small amount of content, but something people asked for.

- Theme music for the different towns
- New 'tougher' pack animals available from the merchants capable of withstanding the attacks of bigger adversary
- A revamp of the parry systems and of shields in the game
- A first set of improvements to range combat
- A set of features for events that include event chat channels, faction-based PvP, and more.

Things people have asked for on the wish list. (Yes, more needs done than what's currently being implimented in range combat. But as they said its the 'first set of improvements').

- A set of important landscape collision improvements for the Fyros territory
- In-game mails and forums - having been absent for some weeks, these are now back

bug fixes hrmmm...

And they aren't listing all the changes/bug fixes. I'm sure there is more. They have admitted (as is customary from every mmo i've played) that they do not list all the changes.

This isn't meant to be a flame. You took 2 lines out of the list and made a big fuss about them, when one of them (if not both) were asked for. Ignoring everything else on the list and groaning about things that aren't quite accurate. And more content is on the way, there's at least one thread on the forums about the quests being implimented on the ATS.

And not to mention, as what was said previously, this is the first of three patches for chapter 2.

While there is always room for things to change suddenly in the next couple days, unless you count the fact that there are multiple levels of the same stanza, there is only one improvement to ranged combat currently and that improvement is something that actually hurts ranged fighters. The ability to burn through ammo faster is not a good thing.

Yea, they haven't implemented anything new for ranged beyond that brick tetra. This is a known. They haven't put in the other things for testing yet.

I have checked out the hair styles and make up/tattoos. I did this with a Fyros character (seems I am more of an achiever than I thought or the online gaming typer surveys figured out) because I KNOW Fyrosian territories and am able to start a character and outfit a character, unlike the other races which I have...but are naked and basically running around wasting time.

The Fyrosian hairstyles have three or four new hairstyles...that I recall...for women, a double ponytail style that is enough different to not REALLY be comparable to, but is only reminiscent of the Tryke do, and one that is reminiscent of the 60's helmet hair, sort of (flips up at the ends and has a sort of band or series of bands that "hold" it, well...we haven't figured out hair spray yet...have we?), and of course a FULL set of dyes.

The tattoos are ALL the standards at creation and several new ones, some MUCH MUCH better than the standards, OH and the option to REMOVE all tattoos (part of the standard creation listing). Prices are from ok to WOW.

There are two tattoo sales people (one for girls and one for guys, for coding ease I think), and the same of hairstylists. Looking at all the "forms" we would have to learn I can ONLY say WOW, if we were to get this under crafting, I am afraid I would leave this to the NPCS. It would cost ALOT just to get ONE racial for ONE gender, I think that hairstylist would steal the show from Jeweler as MOST SP expensive skill in game. (honestly, which would YOU spend the sp on...yep...thought so...me too).
