Roleplay events?

Thinking about organising another event via our guild.
Option 1 - A 'treasure hunt' of sorts around the desert, following clues from person to person to a final goal.
Option 2 - An RP event, an In-Character social/ball at the Intendent's palace.
Are there enough people who would be interested to support RP events yet though? Considering there'd be no XP or Phat Lewt expect maybe a roleplay incentive award.

yes I would
I already add a little roleplay to my character, like "fight for Jena homins!" during battle etc

Sounds great to me; you get what you find presumably so theres the "lewt" and you'd get xp from beating up the mobs that got in your way

Hmm, not quite my thing :-/

Lo mate
Expect a few of these over the next week or three, during the build up to Melanija and Neun's Wedding.

I think I'm with Spriteh on this one - I do like the RP aspect, tho I haven't been into MMORPG/RP long really. I think the dedicated RPers (the ones who actually remember all of the back story
) find the social RP thing easier. Oh, and I can't help using the word 'mate' in chat windows, which isn't very Atysian at all!
Also I'm not sure about negative feelings between factions or races - tho I agree this is part of the storyline, I feel that non-RPers could get a little upset if people keep saying 'bah, kami scum' or words to that effect. Obviously some of us will accept this as humorous banter, but there are exceptions - one that springs to mind is caused by the term 'Euro English'. I'm English, so if people are speaking to me in my first language, I won't take offence at a little faction banter. However, I could imagine a first-time Euro player who's first language *isn't* English getting a little upset maybe - this can also work the other way, where the Euro person is *giving* the banter in English, but goes a little over the top by accident
It happens!
I guess those are just general RP issues tho, and hopefully sensible players know how to control it. I'd be willing to try some more RP for fun I think, and see how it goes
One of the best things about the Euro English shard is meeting and grouping with peeps from Norway, Holland, Denmark etc. I have several in-game friends from these places, and since I can't afford trips to those countries all the time, RP could be a good way of hanging out with them!

I don't think 'mate' is necessarily out of context.
If you're playing a 'bit of a geezer', a thief, rogue, whatever it could be appropriate.
Language hasn't been defined so much so we're free to come up with style etc of our own.
I try to use game references, like 'kinching hell' to replace certain swear words

Id like a RP event, but more like option 1, some story or questlike event.
The second option is nice too, but i prefer option 1
LoL indeed would be fun to extend rollplaying a bit more as saying: Karavan Scum!
Very nice intitiative!
