Stuck in a patching loop

So, after formatting my drive completely and upgrading XP, and upgrading my drivers and upgrading every damn thing under the sun, I finally hoped Ryzom would consent to run.

Nope.

When I load up, I get <NotExistEulaAccept> and a blank EULA <NotExistEulaContent>. If it does get past this, I have a 0.0/0.0 patch to download. This is the third time I am downloading this supposedly empty patch which is in reality a characters_maps_zo_hom_armour01_hr_00001.patch at 65 mgs every single time.

It loads, Ryzom restarts and crashes. Restart it again, and it repeats. Ryzom_recover runs through its speil and does nothing to help.

Any ideas?

Tin.

anyone live around you with a copy of the game installed?
if so, network up with them and just copy it
other than that, you have me stumped

Gonna try that tonight as a last ditch effort. If that doesn't work, I'll shut the whole thing down until the next patch. If that doesn't work, I'm out of options and I guess I'm out of the game. :(

Got a copy of the Ryzom directory from a friend and copied over the hash that the auto-patcher had made in mine and I played tonight. :) I managed three full hours online with only two crashes to start and one crash to finish. Best part is, I have his Ryzom directory on data DVD, so whenever the autopatcher makes a hash of it, I can copy it over and start again.

This should not have to happen, you know... but I'm playing.
