Is it possible to play on ATS servers as well as NA servers? I've heard mixed information that your current character is moved from NA to ATS servers - restricting you from going back?
I've always like test server playing, but not if I can't still play w/guild and friends on the normal server.

No, your NA character is copied over to ATS so you can play both. However you do need a special client to run on ATS otherwise it won't work. There is info on how to get the ATS client on the ATS page, I believe.
http://ryzom.com/?page=ats. They might also send you info on how to access it once you get accepted.
So short answer, yes you can still play with your friends and guild on the normal server.

To the best of my knowledge, characters were copied over to the ATS at the time patch 1 went live. So it's not the most current of characters (or you may not even have any characters!) But fear not, making a matis will have you start with lvl 151 in every skill, 500k dapper, and 28.4k skill points in each branch. Good general base to play with

one danger, just make sure you follow the instructions to a T when setup of your ATS play folder, do not, i repeat do not run the bat file in your main ryzom folder, you will have to re-install your game if you do and still want to play on the real world server
have around 5 or 6 gig extra of hard drive spawn and copy the entire ryzom folder, i called my copy RyzomATS, then follow the rest of the setup instructions, if you have a ATS account you can then play on ATS

Yeah I know it was tricky for me. Since I have no idea what I am doing half the time and the other half doing it wrong
But got help. Couldn't do it by myself.
I have two icons now one game and the other Advanced server

I've also attempted to fill in the application form but apparently it is broken (others I know have encountered the same problem). Although I fill in the password box, when I click on the "Submit" button my password is erased & I'm told I didn't fill in all the boxes. I can only surmise from this that Nevrax really doesn't want more testers or as I have previously concluded they are completely incompetent.

That happened to me too when I had put a "0" in the ranged fight lvl box - I couldn't remember my actual lvl since it's so low. I put in a "1" and that time the request went.
