Hi....feels wierd asking this question as i should knwo the answer, i thought i did too but i think i was wrong SOOOO can someone plz explain to me exactly how fear works? As there is a major difference in the operation of fear on mobs and in pvp! a BIG difference!!!

I cant quite seem to work out exactly how can defend/resist against it as it seems that low level fear will work on a very very high lv player reguardless (lv130+)

it seems....

player vs mob: if you fear it it runs away if you fear it lock it and hold it long enough there is a chance the mob wont return

mob vs player : if a mob fears you you stand imobile and cant act atall vry diff to what happens when we use it on them

Player vs Player : same as mob vs player stops the person makes them unable to act as there too scared but there is no resistance to the spell atall lol

Sounds like fear is the spell of choice for low level people in PvP with higher levels!

I havn't used it yet, when you say "lock" do you mean just keep the mob targeted and don't do any other actions?

Fear is pretty much how it should be in PvE
But fear in PvP is just ridiculous. As it stands, whoever gets fear off first will win the duel

fear should do exactly the same in all situations imo you cant make it that when you fear a mob it runs away and when it fears you your paralized as then the spell should be called paralasis which it clearly isnt why not have it so that when a mob fears you you actually run away from the mob for the same time a mob would run from you if you hit it with fear?

or if the spell is ment to paralise you with fear then make it do so pve and pvp

hmmm did any of you stop and think ?? Am i the only one who finds it totally absurde that even the lowest lvl of fear, or any other affliction spell for that matter, has a hit rate of 100% against any player of any level ?

When I hit a mob with my affliction spells you can bet your sorry ass that I don't hit 100% - it's more like 40% (but that is another story).

Fighting against other players I hit all the time even with Fear 1. Does not matter if the player is lvl 50 or lvl 250 - it hits !

This is nothing more than another example of something that is broken !! Nothing has to be nerfed - Nevrax just needs to get their head out of the sand and make the spells work on players as it does on mobs !

I hear they are trying out a new PvP system on the ATS, maybe it's already being implemented?

I realllllllyyyy hope so, because patch 2 it wants to promote pvp as well and this way no chance am i gonna pvp! and i know many of me other friends who wouldnt either but we all LIKE to pvp

So thanx for all ur help on how ur effected by fear....but is there anyone who knows how it works level wise?

for example fear 1 i think have lv of 10-20 (not soo sure at this time) so what kinda level players is it men tot be working on? plz dont say it will work on even level 100 players!!!
