Same, fullscreen or windowed, openGL or D3D, any resolution, works fine.
*edit* ( i run on a 2 yr old laptop btw)

More seriously, I think a clean reinstallation of your graphic card drivers should be nice. Then, try the Klient. It is a software you can download on http://www.ryzom.com that will connect you to a live chat technical support. They really can help you out.
Lots of people actually play the game, with various configurations, some have small problems, some other not, but if the problem you speak of was SO hudge, I guess they would know it, and that lead me to think there is a problem on your Pc. Good luck

Its just the same 'unregistered' person who keeps making up 'problem a day to scare people away' This is getting old, if you are having all these problems, why are you 'unregistered', log in and we might sort something out with all your problems

Seriously, update your directX. Renew your monitor drivers. Make sure you have up to date video drivers and that they arn't just installed over your old drivers. Make sure your video card is up to running this game in the first place.

I believe this chaps problem is the latter. His computer is just not up to running this game. <hugs>
