Unhappy with the newly imposed crafting/selling "feature"

Its good to see that some of the features that have been requested by the players are being implemented by the Devs.
HOWEVER, 1 of the changes that has been forced on us with patch 24 is that the name of the crafter now appears on all crafted items. I am very unhappy about this. This should be an optional feature for those that want it. Some crafters like to remain anonymous, like myself. I already get lots of /tells for equipment (from word of mouth), though a lot of the things i make i only make for my guild. This will make the situation worse for me. Also, for political reasons, some people will not buy my equipment under any circumstances, so even selling to a merchant for anonymous resale is not an option. Please Devs, give us the option whether to display the crafters name or not. I see no real reason for this forced imposition, although it could be a nice feature for some who like to mass advertise their wares.
*Edit* slight amendment to thread title (see below also)

There are further implications that ive just been made aware of. Now, when you sell something for resale at the merchants, the sellers name appears. Ive been logged into game for 5 mins and ive just received 2 angry /tells from players accusing me of undercutting them on prices, and a /tell from a player asking me to craft items i dont even make, as he assumed that i did as i was listed as the seller. This new "feature" is causing me a lot of problems, and it seems my only option is to remove all my items from the merchants.
Also, i do not wish to advertise the fact that i can extract Q xxx mats, which is exactly what happens now if i put those mats up for resale at the merchants.
Did i already mention i am unhappy about this situation? :(

in my opinion the people will only see the name on the weapon if you sell it to them so its your fault and if you sold the weapon to them how are you staying annonymous? it doesnt take a genious to work it out i am a crafter myself and im vry happy with my name being on a weapon because it is free advertising if someone buys a weapon from the traders with your name on it and is pleased with the weapon it brings you in more money

there are too many crafters out there who are too lazy to craft they get high lvl and then it goes to there head thinking there godlike if you only took crafting to make weapons for yourself and your friends then you should only supply to them if people are being undercut by you thats tough its a dog eat dog world if you can afford to make stuff and sell it at such a loss thats up to you :) dont try and start a hate campaing over just your own opinion some crafters need the advertisment just to survive as a crafter

He, like everyone else having issue with this, is asking for it to be an option, so those who want to advertise, can, and those who don't want to, won't. Perfectly logical solution. Nothing 'hating' about it.

This isnt how it works. Every item i have ever made now has my name on it. Yes, i sell to guild and a few friends. I also, after patch 1, put other items at the merchants for resale. This doesnt mean that i want my name on them, why should it ? Just because you are happy with the way things are now doesnt mean that everyone is, in fact a few people that i have spoken to are of the same opinion as me. Hence my request to make this an "optional" feature, else i and a few other crafters will not be putting items up for sale at the merchants in future, which i think is detrimental to the community and the game in general, and defeats the purpose of having player-sold items at the merchants in the first place.
You obviously didnt read my post properly, there is no hate campaign.

That's a grand total of three sentences, and I'm afraid it was quite difficult to follow easily. Putting some more punctuation in might help.

I also have had a few comments about selling cheap. Makes me want to do it more.

It is annoying about the names on crafted items and sales. Lets not get too angry about it though. We have proof already that the devs are listening to our ideas and comments.

I'm sure that if enough players petition about this, they will remove it asap.

I think it's great that items now have names. I like being able to see people who try to undercut pricing.

Crafting got more nerfed than anything else in patch 1 with missions and item costs. Why not nerf it further!

Well I like my name being on the items I craft and the sales I make.

It means buyers know they are getting quality items (I use only choice mats at worst) at a reasonable price (actually base price since I can't be bothered to fiddle).

Wanting to remain anonymous rather begs the question about the quality/price of items..........

Although I can appreciate the tells problem - it can't be that much of an imposition. I find the best tactic is to require payment in materials for "custom items". But lets face it, it's an odd crafter who doesn't want to talk to thier customers :p .

For abusive "customers" there's "ignore" (off the friends window) - and as for people who complain you are too cheap; well the opportunities for taunting are a hoot. ("OK - if you really don't like my prices, why don't you buy the items and resell them at a "sensible" price - that way you'll make a profit.")

Honestly it can be akin to telemarketers, they call at odd hours, usually when you're eatting or doing something important, and just want to chat. And no one likes telemarketers (only this time its in reverse, they don't want to sell you something, they just want to buy stuff, normally of a lower Q than you can get xp for)
