Forming a Wedge - Tactics

I love it in books when a mage gets one or more buddies to stand behind him and channel their power through him for bigger effects than he alone could do. Well here's how to do that in Ryzom (I think).

Enchant your magic amplifier with a spell higher than you currently know, by asking a higher level mage to crystalise it for you. This takes no time and costs very little so should be easy to get hold of. The thing is, make this spell rely on your hp pool as much as possible.

Secondly, get your wedge buddies behind you ready to cast heal. Now blast away from your enchanted amp, doing way more damage than normally possible. As your buddies top you up you can blast away all day! They will convert a small amount of their sap into a large amount of hp for you to use.

Please let me know how you get on with this idea, as I haven't actually tried it yet. Dont forget to bring along your tank too, unless you can toast things before they reach you.

Won't work.

Enchantments cost a dubious amount of sap pool on weapons - even amps. The higher the spell level, the higher that is taken.

The item, no matter how maxed on sap pool, will drain in a very short amount of time.

Casters in back, tanks in front.

Dont you hate it when you cant pull a mob cos it takes so mutsh time to switsh wepons or you dont have taunt?


Enchant yor wepons is the messedge! Low or hi dhosent mather just fill that Wepon up with sap christs...

An example of channeling that does fit in the the Ryzom world...

2xbomb healers (sap+hp) + 1xNuker

effectively the 2 bomb healers, refill each other and the nuker.

The nuker is then able to use their most powerfull spells, while remaining at full health and sap.
