Right & Left Hand Items

G'day all, here is some food for thought; i look forward to the interesting responses...

First of all, the characters are all right-handed (side note: able to choose the dominant hand would be a cool feature)

Now we have two daggers & swords + sheilds combinations which make use of both hands.

However since the removal of the magic amp staff to gloves; does anyone else think it should be you need TWO magic gloves?
As you clearly have one on each hand.

And just so you all know, I am aware there are many factors to consider with this option; such as:
* current costs (price & mats) would make owning two amps difficult
* the bonus with the amps.... would it double as you have two?
* or would the amps be re-speced to be lower (half)
* could you use one amp only? less bonus, add shield etc
* could you have amp of defesnive and amp of offesnive??? (or healing) worn together?

Side note: I have made am amp which is really good at healing but poor at offensive spells (like Acid) and I have also made one that is great with Acid, but very poor with healing. If i could wear one each i wouldnt have to swap between them... as i often find myself doing both in battles....

Wearing two different amps could open doors to a whole new strategy.....


anyway... maybe i have two much time comming up with this :P

I for one would like an option to have a staff ... as I personally find the gloves to be repugnant. I look like I have my hands stuffed into dead chickens... or am wearing oven mitts.

They look entirely too soft to be smacking things with too. So... how about the ability to have both. Gloves would be for close combat fine. And smacking something with a staff would give 2H melee.

The amount of mats to make the gloves totals to 20 (8 shaft, 2 grip and 10 focus). This is the same number as that of a 2h weapon, and this was the case with the magic staff pre patch 1.

Ehm..... As far as I get it, it's considerd a pair of gloves.

I think this is because you require two hands to cast. It's been stated that the amplified magical energy burns your palms, the gloves are for protection. (The old amp stick apparently kept the energy away from the hands, wich would explain how you could use it without hand protection.)
