Just curious to see, the boards have been rather quiet this evening, so interested in seeing how peoples reaction to these changes have been. (People tend to only post when something is wrong, not when something is right).

not really posting because I am not provoking people around, I kinda gave up with all until I get told that those idiotic aggro monsters damage is back to small.

Fighting is working much better. Magic is still resisting way too much.

Definetly better and more do-able. Still rediculas amount of misses with magic spells. Healing is more resonable now since we get hit for a little less. Wasn't so bad today. Not quite "fun fun" but it didn't totally suck. A little more tweaking and I think we can be back to having really good fun again. FIX THE MAGIC BETTER THOUGH!

Great improvements to dodging - greater chance of survival generally, and less down time when soloing. Once they tone down the damage from the carnivores things should be looking good.

For the most I like the combat adjustment. It is almost like that of pre-patch. However, I think aggro wise its a bit easy, and doesn't follow the storyline as well.
If they can keep the dodge/parry rate as it is now in patch 21, but have the mob levels and aggro at that of patch 20, I think the right balance would be achieved for Chapter 1 storyline.
If it doesn't change, no biggie - I could live with it

I cant agree more Zzei.
But after grouping with 2 other mages we found that affliction spells do seem to hold a bitlonger but resists are still high on lower level spells, which should be expected IMHO.

I am quite pleased with the changes that I noted from last night. Combat is challenging. You must have your stanzas properly tweaked to take full advantage, else you face greater potential for defeat. You also must choose your battles carefully. The max xp fight will max the opportunities for your personal destruction, while fighting something for "xp rate over time" tends to work out quite well (solo'ing perspective).
When groupped, I find it similar, and even find situations where a well-blended group can gain max xp from fights. Usually includes some fatalities, but most are recoverable within the battle if you have proper healer support, so noone misses the xp reward at fight's end.
A very nice configuration.

Didn't vote today (11/11/04) as last night all I did was heal, but as I remarked to a guildmate this morning, it felt weird last night to log off and *not* be pizz'd off because of no leveling and all the dp. There were a few deaths that were rez'd in time and the fights were almost challenging. It seemed to be a step in the right direction.
11/12/04 - Okay! Second night in a row I logged off without dp. I did get some in the course of the night but I was able to work it off. Combat worked out okay but the one thing I have against things are they are now is that combat is now a chopfest. I don't get to use the wonderful stanzas I created earlier. All I need is accurate attack and increase damage. Big deal.
