so hows ranged combat now?

i havent really tried it since the patch and i was just wondering what changes have been made? i know that ammo takes less mats to make but what about damage and ranges?

last i remember damage was kinda weak but it could be allright now since it costs less to make. now, range on "ranged" weapons was pretty weak considering it was no where near the possible range of magic. i think my rifle had a range of 27 yards which seemed pretty off to me for a rifle.

so, what i am really hoping ot hear is that range has been increased.

btw, this is not an invitation to complain. at least i don't think it is. i want to know in YHO(your humble opinion) about wether ranged has been tweaked enough to use again or should i wait a little longer.

Well you can kill a scowling gingo in 2 q50 launcher shots...a baying in 3...thatsabout all i know about it :)

The mat changes helped a lot, but overall ranged is still rather underpowered. A skill tree or an increase in damage would go a long way to fix the problem.

Take a look at Tetra's post from a day or two ago.

Ranged has issues, rifles are ok for mat use/shot and burden/shot but arent viable really under current mechanics, autolaunchers/launchers are obsurd unless something changed today. There is a lot of stuff about ranged in that thread up there I linked to :)
