Consideration on the forums

seeing that one (or more.. I didn't checked) of my threads was brutally deleted whithout any warning, and seeing the considerations of the forum moderators.. I make this post to point out that people are angry and frustrated of the situation, and does need to vent off.

if here is not allowed, I will do so on the gamespy forums, on the gameguru forums, on the gamespot forums, on the gamefaqs forums and on the various massive multiplayer forums.

I apologize if naturally, it will come out a horrible advertisement for ryzom around the internet, but free speech is something granted and that cannot be taken away.

I bid you good day moderator.

keriann wrote:yes! it means you will be relived from my fastidious and.. it seems also impossible to ignore (given the large amount to replies to my ranting) presence! :D

so let's all be merry and enjoy the gingos slaughtering you! :D

Did this thread get deleted? Because I got an email about the post, but I can't find it. I thought that was a pity because I couldn't reply directly, but I guess this will have to do. I assume it was in response to me asking if you were going to be leaving us for the WoW forums? If so then goodbye, its been fun arguing with you ;)
And just for the record; since patch1 no gingo has killed me. Lots of ocyx and varinx have... but no gingo :p

I've had a thread deleted before too. I asked the moderator about it and she said she's been cracking down on flamewars. Wasn't anything against my post or anything about trying to get rid of negative posts. She even said she agreed with me.

Don't blame the moderator, she's very nice, very informative, and very quick to respond (I sent several PMs back and forth about my deleted thread, and she responded within minutes each time).

As someone who works in customer service, I can completely understand wanting to keep the flames to a minimum, and I don't envy her task of attempting to get all this feedback to the devs.

Also, freedom of speech doesn't apply to privately owned forums, just fyi.

Actually, the thread was deleted due to your advertising of another MMO on our forums, which is a breach in the EULA.

Besides that, you should have known it would get deleted even before you posted Keriann. I have not deleted or closed any other flames you've been posting, so I don't think I'm infringing on your "free speech". I can understand if you're upset with the changes with chapter one, but advertising another MMO on this MMO's forums is, well, tacky and against the rules.

If you've decided to leave Ryzom then please be on your way. Thank you.

I know as for freedom of speech I was referring about posting a review of ryzom and my opinion on it over other public boards.

as for the moderator being nice... if she was she could have told me, sent a note or an email or whathever else at least on why the deletion. would been a courtesy.

and I'm pissed at the deletion of the post because it was useful to coordinate efforts with other atys refugees that was migrating to azeroth....

I'd like to second that request...

I too wish that the angry, up in arms people who have decided to leave Ryzom would just do it and be done with it. If someone has constructive suggestions, such as the petition now stickied to the top of this forum, or such as the suggestions for tweaking the way magic works now, then they are helping the community.

People who just want to vent on the forums, well, they are not contributing anything but more fuel for the flames and frankly, I would really rather see less of that here.

oh thanks for the reply. this is what I needed. as for advertising other MMO... can you point me exactly where it is in the EULA? I might have overlooked it (not mocking you, I am asking you to show that part of the eula if it's not a bother)

and.. about 'advertising'...... I doubt it needs advertisement anyone here didn't heard about that MMO?..

ah and about leave ryzom... you guys left me hanging here... if the situation is going to remain the same and the DEVS approves the current situation, stay sure, whithout a blink of an eye I will leave even RIGHT NOW... well I will give all my stuff to my guild first and wave goodbye.. but I will quit, cancel irrevocably and immediately.

Devs.. give me a clear answer on the matter.

Yeah, yeah make everybody leave! this game will be perfect when we chase everyone away who thinks differently. Last one standing in the game gets the great boobie prize too!

There are single player games for those of you who want to chase everyone away.

I used to try and encourage new people to play Ryzom, but now it looks like not only Nevrax but also CSRs think they don't need people to actually subscribe to their game.

They do not want you posting about other games because they are frankly scared that you will leave Ryzom.. Which after these last 2 weeks it is mind boggling as to why anyone would stay..

F**k it, Nevrax got $100 from me and I'll I got was 2 pretty looking game boxes to sit on my bookshelf..

Forum Rules Here:

Scroll down and you'll find the part about advertising. It's one thing to talk about the game, quite another to post a link to that game's website.
