Personal Character Interaction

Hi all, once again I'm after advice! Sorry this is a long post but I seem to have hit a lot of inter-related issues at once.
I'm a solo player so the issues below relate to solo play (at least, as far as I am concerned) - I appreciate things are different if I join someone elses guild.
I've only been playing a couple of weeks so I've only scratched the surface of game possibilities and there are many areas I haven't had time to consider at all.
My main (& currently only) character is a Zorai magician around level 60. He is a guild leader. No guildhouse as, I believe, 10,000,000 dappers required to buy one in order to get a storage area - are there any additional requirements?
Is an apartment just for the purchasing character or is it for all 5 of a players characters (assuming they are in the same area)? I feel 1,000,000 for an apartment is a somewhat more realistic goal. How much storage space do you get?
Is there any other way to get a storage area that I have missed, so I could move materials/money between my characters.
Is a guild house or apartment specific to the apartment block in which it is purchased?
I'm now considering my other 4 potential characters. To keep it short let's consider two extreme positions:-
1). I set up Zorai fighter, forager, crafter (not sure what to do with last character - any thoughts?). If so, how do I get them into my guild? Can they just join or do I need at least one 'third party' guild member who can be given rights to join others. Unless I have a guild house (unlikely for a soloer due to cost) is there any point getting them into the same guild anyway?
2). Assuming that when Nevrax implement race specialization (which has been discussed at length elsewhere) there is an advantage in having a Fyros fighter, Tryker crafter and Matis forager I could set 3 characters up that way. (All things being equal I'd like to do that anyway just for role playing variety, but I won't make things too difficult for myself unless there is a good reason to do so). In that case would I have to get my Zorai to them in order for them to join my guild? That currently seems virtually impossible without joining some sort of group with the aim of crossing to a different area (getting all 4 characters to one location would be even harder). So, I would also have to take a view on whether I thought journeying would be made easier in the future (I think it will become easier but not in the short term).
So, I suppose what I am meandering round to asking is what are the pros & cons of setting up all characters in one area as opposed to having one of each race.
In the old Ultima Online days many players had a 'mule' who could do repairs, crafting, alchemy etc for their other 4 characters. Ryzon is structured differently in many ways but I think there is still a valid question ie is Nevrax actively trying to prevent solo players from combining the resources of their own 5 characters or am I missing something. (As far as I can see you can't even drop something on the ground, log out, log in as another character in the same place and pick the item up - has Nevrax done this deliberately to prevent one player allowing his 5 characters to interact).
Choosing between 1) & 2) is a fairly fundamental decision, as going with 1) gives me more variety immediately (but with each character still having to work as an independent unit) whereas 2) means just playing my magician (& possibly one other) and waiting for race specialization (& possibly journeying) to be clarified before setting up the other 3 characters.
Depending on what answers/info I receive I may have to bite the bullet and apply to join an existing guild (please understand that I would help anyone out within the game but I just prefer playing solo as far as possible).
As always, any thoughts/comments/money etc gratefully received.
