Right now there are only arenas and duels.

Later, guild "challenges" are promised where guilds will be able to challenge each other and back it up with money. The battle takes place in an instanced area so only those directly involved are allowed to influence the outcome. And the money is taken from the losing guild automatically.

Also they did hint at possibly "hostile takeovers" or challenges to a guild's ownership or control of an outpost, but it's not certain if PvP challenges in those areas will be allowed or if they are just referring to the npc kitin "raids".

The devs are not very responsive to PvP questions in general and there is currently no section in our forums dedicated to PvP issues.

If you need PvP to have a prominent role in your game, I am sorry to say that Ryzom does not appear to fill that need... at the moment.
