Then explain to me exactly what this newest event is? Explain to me how having a summit in one land to discuss a problem effect all races, is somehow not central to that idea?

We need this sort of organization in this game. From this event it's also very clear that we need neutral place that has guards from all races and is open to all races to hold meetings.

I nominate Lakeland because that's the hardest darn place to get out of. Damn you, Lagoons! *shakes fist like an old man cursing a young whippersnapper*

A neutral place would be the thing.

How hard would it be for developers to introduce a island in the middle of a body of water that was accessable by boat only? One where all lands could access it. And before you say that would open up the lands for easy travel, you are right. But at this point with meething like the newest one happening we need to have easier travel.

Sounds like a wonderful idea. However, the boat needs to be crafted specifically by a Fyros, using Lakelands mats. Only the Zorai can power it, and the Matis are the rudders.

My suggestion in the Windmere thread was a place we could all port to, but only port home from or anywhere you have a ticket to.

Actually this is a great idea in the making. This could easily be adapted to an idea I had for exploration content in Earth and Beyond. The devs introduce this new island. Then it's up to the players to explore it, create the maps, check out were resources are. Then they would be required to build a neutral city and the transporation to and from it. You cold have a series of quests that have the players accomplishing all of this.

So, basically a Horizons type event? You know, I really loved those events, but two straight days of 15 hours carrying stuff back and forth really got on my nerves. Maybe if they made it, say, less frustrating and time consuming?

I really hope this is where the REAL "quests" are going to go. First build up everything in your own area (the outposts) then see new NPC tribes take up residence, then reach out into the borderlands - with the help of NPC tribes you have high fame with..

Anyway, I have a feeling it's all just a dream.

Actually, the Atlantis expansion (DAoC) had this type of set up. Had a guy at the end of the pier in the regular cities that took you to Atlantis. You had to meet certain requirements but they weren't hard to meet in order to get a free ride there. You got on the boat and the boatmaster portalled you.

A-hem

how exacrtly you will meet all in one place? have you thought of the actual travel and the horrible number of victims given to the super damaging mobs?
