By no means is Comitatus Praetorian a random sampling as so these numbers aren't entirely representative:
Highest membership:52 and of those 52 only 31 have been actively playing in the last two weeks. Of those 31 another 5 are currently just wating for their accounts to expire. Of the remaining 26, another 6-10 are seriously considering leaving and are currently playing other games to decide if they like them better. Of the other 16 or so, three are staying because they have year subscriptions and the other 13 or so are either committed to staying or haven't really made up their minds one way or the other.
Regardless a 30% retention rate really isn't very impressive.
BTW, I really expect most of the undecideds are not going to be around much longer as they have no patience for basic game rules that fundamentally change with every patch.

yes, that is also another valid point, consistancy in the rules. The developers cannot continuously change the basic game rules and have us readjust to them completely each time changing tactics out of nothing. Even doing a stanza reset each time.. it's impossible to keep up with this lack of... stable reality.

Same here...and we're probably a bit more of a random sampling.

So tired of it all. When I think of logging into the game with actual dread and would rather feed the fish in my virtual fish tank, I know it's time to take a break before I do something drastic like burry Gorran in the Jen-Laï cemetery...catch you in a week.

I don't know...I was real frustrated for a while as things appeared to be crumbling, and some did crumble, but I'm auditing out inactive members this coming weekend, moving our website, and all but starting from scratch with what we have remaining. Once that dusts settles we'll kick up recruiting again and just see what happens. Call it DoZ 2.0 or something.

Retention rates among Pilgrims of Atys seem to be about the same.
Does Nevrax only need 30% of their current playerbase to stay afloat? that is some real good financing.
I'm in the waiting to see what happens camp. But right now what I'm seeing isn't good.

We are currently 51 in Melinoe, and I am surprised how the numbers are really similar to yours. I am not a doom and gloom guy, but this is too consistant everywhere. If we dont get some content soon to keep a guild sized organization focused on something the grind will surely make others give up.
They managed to implement the kitin invasions so it would look good for movies they produce, but thats not content. WE NEED SOMETHING TO ACCOMPLISH !
