Game Crashing Every Time

Until Thursday, Ryzom played relatively smoothly, with little lag and rarely crashed. Since Friday, game stability has completely changed.

Entering the game now takes about twice as long as it did before Friday. About 30 seconds after I enter the game, my computer starts racing, and continues to work hard non-stop. Approximately 5 to 8 minutes later the game crashes. After the crash, the crash report keeps my computer frozen in what appears to be an infinite loop. This can only be rectified by shutting down the computer and restarting.

This all started after patch 20.

Help please!?!

P.S. I have a 2.8 G intel processor, 1 G ram, nvidia gforce 5, windows xp

Tried playing Ryzom again this morning (Monday) and game running fine. Don't know what, if anything, changed, but game is working.

Ran around a while, including where game had crashed previously, and fought a few MOBs. Game is running with little lag and computer seems happy.

Here are some general anti crash tips.
1)run latest drivers for all your hardware
2)turn off vsync
3)*Run ryzom off a fresh boot ONLY ( I gave this one a star as it has fixed my crashing issues, and it seems ryzom has a possible memory leak somewhere)
4)disable background programs
5)ensure pc is not overheating

Those are some general solutions to crashing problems that have worked for various users playing ryzom.
