24 hours after Patch 1 landed and changed Ryzom forever, an emergency patch 20 was released to "FIX" some problems, which created more problems and did not address the Major Reason everyone is frustrated and leaving.

48 Hours later..... Are we to assume NEVRAX is satisfied with their product and not willing to make it playable again?

Evidently it is against the law in france for people to work overtime. Or atleast a specific amount of overtime. They probably blew through it already and are mandated by law to give their employees a break for the weekend.

I don't expect to hear anything from them at this point until they get back to work on monday morning.

I know this seems baffling to us americans, but it seems to be the way they do business over there.

Either that or they are just hoping that all the fuss will go away. Personally I feel that they are making a bad decision they should either come out and say that this is the way it is going to be from now on, or that they are going to change some more stuff. The silence coming from them is deafening, even if they cannot legally work on the problems until the weekend is over a little bit of communication from them would go a long ways in keeping people from canceling like I did.

Or perhaps it is taking more than 24 hours to make the newest patch??? Just a thought.

Im pretty positive nevrax knows that if this game crashes, they burn.
Why do you keep assuming they are sitting in recliner chairs sipping wine and munching croissants while laughing at the playerbase's angry demands and cancellations of despair ?
True, europeans are much stricter when it comes to labor and hours and whatnot that americans, but i think the administration might have broadcasted a message saying *Dear employess, u will all be out of a job very soon unless we overclock you beyond the limits of the law, we will compensate for your extra efforts bla bla bla etc... sign this here form stating you accept these terms ....*

Remember that they have many issues to consider before reverting the game to its pre patch status or keeping it as it is.
Oh for god's sakes, if u are still convinced that they dont care about the players after 3 patches in 3 days, nothing i or anyone says can convince u.

1st off, I simply do not see them as sitting there sipping wine, etc....nor am I convinced they do not care. They have provided an atmosphere of speculation and unrest by the lack of acknowledgement on the issue....and....

all the buzz after patch1 led to a patch, then the buzz on that led to more of a fix..soooooo...

you gotta believe continued pressure may very well be a catalyst for repairations needed to the combat/spell system, at least... I do.

I said it once, I'll say it again -- let's not forget that it's the business weekend. Prolly not a good idea to start claiming no response for 24 hours until it's Tuesday.

It depends on what, if any, changes they made to their database. That would be the worst case scenario - new data tables are incompatabile with old data tables from pre-patch. Therefor all data from last 3 days is lost.

Granted, considering how much death penalty alot of people are sitting on this might not be such a bad thing...

Quite hard. Have you ever worked with a system as complex as Saga of Ryzom? It's not just undoing whatever files were sent to the clients. It's changing all of the files on the servers, removing or re-adding columns to the various database tables, reverting cron (scheduled programs) commands, reverting the *data* in those databases back to an older state. And a whole lot more.

Not to mention ... What do you think would happen if they were to roll people back to before Patch 1? You think people are upset now...
