How many others like me are unsuscribed but desperately reading the boards hoping for some sign of salvation?
Please dont reply to this unless you are one of the above. Im suspecting theres a lot. I am still hoping it will go back to how it was so I can play for another couple years.

I am unsubscribed. This company will not be getting any more of my money.
EVER.
Until today I was in the "wait and see camp". Now that its been 24 hours since the last update and its become clear to me that the Nevrax team has gone home for the weekend....
Well, lets just say I know where their opinions of their customers stand. This game is a waste of space on my hard drive. I wish I could get back the 50 bucks I spent on the box.

While I'm not as sour as Jjm on the subject, I can certainly understand where he's coming from. I'm unsubscribed yet hopeful, though if I hadn't had such a miserable experience in Everquest 1 and a subsequently miserable experience in SWG, I'm fairly certain I'd be playing EQ2 on Monday. As it is, my dialup-restricted (and therefore WoW beta-restricted) self will be sticking around and hoping for the best, at least until November 22nd. There was so much initially "right" with this game that it's hard to just give up hope altogether. Then again, it gets easier with each passing day. Here I am on my day off with time to kill and an MMO on my harddrive, yet I have absolutely no interest in logging on whatsoever. What am I doing? Checking message boards and painting my bathroom. Yes, that's right, I've chosen to paint my bathroom rather than play the Saga of Ryzom as it stands.
Of course, I don't think my posting of this fact will have any effect on the powers that be. The 200-signature "Put it back the way it was" post and the undoubtedly widespread cancellations say it louder than a single thread like this ever could. For some reason I just can't keep myself from posting, however. I'm somewhat invested in this game, having followed all the beta news and having pre-ordered the game myself, yet I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy right now. I'm very concerned about the direction Nevrax is steering the ship, and I'm hoping it's strong enough to survive the massive iceburg it's already slammed into. As for me? Well, I'm sitting in a lifeboat and hoping for the best.

I'm going to give it till like the 22nd when my subscription runs out for the month. I TRUELY want to stay. I love this game and the community. But if it's not fun and rewarding for me I can't keep handing over money forever and hoping. I'm starting to just log in, see if it was patched again....nope....log out. That's really a shame because I used to spend so much time playing and really enjoyed it. Please get it together soon Nevrax!

I'm unsubscribed and although it wasn't too bad on noob island last night, it is still not as fun as it used to be. I died a number of times at the claws of weeny ragus...always two or three of them around me at a time...and more would spawn as I was quartering the dead ones (if I even made it that far). They're still hitting me for a lot more damage than I'm hitting them and at level 36 you'd think I should be able to take out two of them without a problem.
There were all of 6 people in the Zorai noob island last night - usually there's 20-25. Talked with the few that were out there and the consensus was that they're going to play EQ2 or WoW since they're so unhappy with what's happened.
I'm checking in here now and then to see if anything's changed. I'll re-up if it gets better. Otherwise I'll just stay gone and join the others flocking to the big 2....

I unsubscribed both my accounts the day after Patch 1 went live, but I will continue to check the boards daily until my subscription runs out to see what happens with the patch/if anything changes etc.
If things remain as they are, then I will not resubscribe, but will move on to another game permanently (am currently playing Horizons).

I think someone else mentioned this before but:
You know its bad when people leave your game to play Horizons.
'nuff said.

Horizons is not actually too bad at the moment and I am enjoying playing it
I have preordered EQ2 though, so will check that out until WoW is released, which is what I really want to play right now.
However, pre Patch 1 I wasnt going to bother with EQ2 or WoW as I was having so much fun in Ryzom, I am really upset it has been spoilt in the patch, at least for me

You know, before Patch 1 I was actively soliciting all my RPGer friends to give SoR a try, evencalling a manager friend of a gamestop to be sure copies were on hand. I never would have left nor ordered WoW...
I am glad NEVRAX developers are independently wealthy and do not need a monthly royalties check
