Healing is a nightmare now.....

I just had the worst few hours ever playing while healing. We had a large group. Two healers. Just constant clicking. Barely keeping up. Some die, live, die, live. Someone loses health but by the time we can even click over to there name they are dead. All I could do for hours was look ONLY at the bars. I had no idea what was going on in battle, couldn't take eyes off bars. I couldn't be a part of the conversations. Not enough time to read or talk ever. And we can heal for close to what the players health is (Higher if I used more credit). I can't plan anything really. No thinking about using bomb (which works terribly right now, no point in using), or switching to other heal spells. Seems about the same for any mob that we could get xp from. We were playing our 100'ish - 120'ish skills.

I honestly never want to heal again. It's entirely to stressful. It's the same way with only healing one person or two. Just click click click click click a million times to just barely keep that red line from turning dark at any mili second.

This is my favorite game. I'm not being a healer anymore. I'm still sticking it out in other areas but I dont know how long, The fun factor is being lost in to many areas of this game. Affliction is so unrewarding too with so few hits landing. I dont mind leveling slower but this is not even fun. At least haveing fun guild mates helps a lot. But still. Hopefully soon this will all get balanced out right. I know they are working on stuff and the dev team is great. Just hope it's done right so it's more fun again.

Seriously. All it needed to slow people down a bit was raise hp, maybe get hit slightly higher, respawn times a little longer, fix blind and maybe some small tweaks to other stuf and it would have been all good. That's not really that hard or drastic.

I haven't played the healing part of the game, so I can't speak for that, but I can only imagine it to be very true.

One thing I wanted to mention along with your suggestions to an alt fix; if indeed people were leveling too fast. It seems to be along with your suggestions they simply could have adjusted the experience curve. I never really understood why there was an experience cap.

Sure, you could have much lower character tagging along & recieving experience, that's easy enough to cap, or like other games make the effective experience gain in a group +/- 10 levels or something.

Anyhow, good post & suggestions. I do hope everything is brought back in line quickly.

The game is completely screwed up right now. I had a level 110 melee and a level 93 melee get killed by a level 88 clopper before I could even get a single damn heal off.

A single heal!!

It was "whack whack" 110 melee dies.
I target a player!
"whack whack" 93 melee dies.
I cast heal
"whack whack" I die.

A freaking monster that would have given us about 300 xp if we were lucky wiped us all out in a matter of seconds.

Later on in the evening the level 93 melee and I got our arses handed to us by a dangerous ragus (600xp) that was double hitting for *750* hit points.

I don't know if anyone is keeping track here, but unless you have HP bonus on all your gear and HP bonus on every piece of jewelry you are wearing there is no way in hell a melee fighter can survive that. None. Nada. Zip.

He died so fast I didn't even have time to blink.

Heh I was the one xero was talking about that was alive dead alive dead ad nauseum! was kinda pathetic, I kinda got motion sickness from hitting the dirt and a second later bieng upright again. You did a good job tonight tho xero, keep your chin up and hopefully some things will be worked out

wicker, those are my thought exactly (i just suck at putting things into words, hehe)
As it is now the only thing i do is watch my teams health bars and try to react as fast as i can when someone takes dmg (which is toally random as the way aggro works in this game is redicilous)
It feels like i am at the arcade, playing that game where you wack those things that pop up from 1 outta 9 holes with a hammer. And its not particluary fun, yesterday i got bored after 1 hour of constant stress, and we were 3 healers, 3 mages and 3 melee, and still people died

Atm I am having fun lvling my healing. I team up and there is a main tank that taunts and uses a shield. I get to pull when it gets near lead shield tank taunts. Other just help dmg and it dies pretty fast.

Also get to sneak in a few elementals when the mob misses.

545 heals Not even lvl 50

Some team mates die but I can heal real quick and there back to life in a sec.

I don't team with warriors that can't taunt. If we get adds I can heal all day with 2 adds but I can't heal you if something hitting me.

So far every warrior that knows me which are quite a few always say we have a good time grouping and its easy.

All they had to do was fix blind and make mobs resistant to spells of lower levels, and all would have been fine. Did you guys try fighting mobs 20 or 50 levels above you without using the broken afflictions? It was just as you'd expect -- people in our group were dying left and right and we could barely hit it. Things were already fine, excluding the broken afflictions:/

U want comedy ? A raging varinx, hits for 1210 damage when i am casting,i have 1200 hp. Had a friend with me that had 1250 heal .
SO it was basically cast,get resisted whack, insta death, insta rez, cast, get resisted, whack, insta death, insta rez, cast, actually land a lvl 140 spell on a lvl 170 mob! whack, insta death, insta rez, repeat....
took about 15 minutes, oh and there was a group of 3 meleers with us, not like they could hit the thing .... i died approx 20-30 times. Jolly good fun :p

I Like how they up healers abilities but we have same hp, so a 150ish healer can bust out a 4-5k heal, but a 150ish tank in full gear probly doesnt even have 3k hp.

Mobs hitting for constant max damage is dumb. They need to have a randomizer like we do. Let SOME mobs have high max damage that can one hit kill a person...but only about 20% of the time. It'll keep people on their toes and make them watch for risk :)
