I sign on tonight and there are 8 people in the main region of the Zorai lands. I'm not one to usually worry, but 8 people on a Friday evening at 7pm est???? You can't have MMO with 8 people in the main area.... I really do love this game. And I really hate to get this way, but it without players no matter how good a MMO is, it's going to die.

There were about twice that in the Tryker main area today and I would say that the vast majority of them were running around fairhaven foraging.
That should tell you something about what a crapfest these last 3 patches have been.
Hell the fact that they have had to do *two* daily patches since their initial patch speaks volumes. The fact that people are *still* complaining about it 72 hours later should be a major wake up call for these guys.
I cannot understand how they can so intently believe that they are more correct than the vast majority of their paying customers.

SoR as we knew it Died Folks. Plain and simple.
No amount of minor calibration on Mob strength will make a financial impact in the next 6 months. It was over when they sent potential EQ2 and WoW players packing with a taste of Yubo Feces in their mouths.

Probably alot of players aren't logging on till the game is fixed. I for one have logged on just long enough to see if combat is up to speed, no, outa there. Not going to beat a dead horse. Now how long I'll keep paying and not playing is another issue.

Well it was fun while it lasted, but i'm not really that upset since the main reason i played SOR was just to pass the time till EQ2 and WOW came out. However i do feel sorry for the rest of the community who have to deal with the fact that the game is almost unplayable in it's current state. My sympathy goes out to you all.
i would like to thank all of you on the NA server for your help and kindness, you have been the best set of players i have had the pleasure of playing with on any MMO i've ever been on.Good luck with all that you do and may your gaming experiance with SOR return to what it once was,if the gods are listening : )
God Bless You All

I'm not worried, i'm angry to see how they ruined it for most of us, and im glad to see this post about not being people on, i don't want to log unless combat restored to what they SOLD US, not this.
Unfortunately i paid 6 months for somthing else that is not there anymore.

I logged into the game and tried fighting mobs. Killed a few suckling yubos no problem....cool! Killed a few Capyrini....cool!!! Went a little further from town...BAM!!! A Ragus hits me, dead in 2 hits!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! More dp to work off!!!! Screw it, the developers have no clue what the customers of this game want! EVERY patch they just keep screwing us worse and worse! I wouldn't be upset if mobs close to my level were tough to kill, that makes sense, but when something 20 levels lower then you can destroy you before you even have a chance to react, well something is VERY wrong with that picture! I SERIOUSLY was planning on sticking with this game but not anymore....I'm gone.

That was pretty much what I wrote in the 'comments' section when I unsubscribed on Wednesday. We should be able to perform tasks of our level with a reasonable rate of success, while gaining a reasonable reward. This should apply to combat, crafting, and foraging.
Tasks well below our level shouldn't be much of a challenge, but shouldn't produce much of a reward either. One should be able to easily pull a couple of Q30 mats if they are lvl 50 forage, or defeat several lvl 30 mobs if they are lvl 50 fight/magic. However, they should not receive much (if any) XP for such tasks, which wasn't necessarily the case pre patch 1.
It seems to me only an XP tweak was in order. Some people still wouldn't have been happy, since they wouldn't be able to hit the XP cap as easily, but I doubt there would be the mass exodus that we've witnessed the last several days.
I really wanted to play this weekend, but it sounds like there are still several issues to address. I understand foraging has been improved, but until the combat is tweaked further and the crafting missions stop becoming a dapper sink, I think I would rather hold off.
I actually went so far as to pre-order another game, which I didn't plan on doing until I saw what was in store with patch 2. My God! . . . what have I done?

They built the biggest and most luxurious ship.
Then they named it Titanic and drove it right into an Iceberg...

Just came back from Yrkanis, about 40 people in the zone, not so bad.
I think my views of the currnet fight system are changing a little. I am 44 melee, and I can kill any of the ragus or gingo near Yrkanis, I just need to be careful not to attract attention to myself.
I am concerned that the fights are still too fast, I would much prefer more time to strategize a fight, but I am getting used to the pace as it is now.
I have not had a chance to group yet, and what may happen in groups really worries me. In groups, with no adds, the fights will end super fast with a single target, but if there are adds (and groups generally aren't as careful as I was today) and they all attack the main tank, that tank may very well die before she can be healed.
I guess what I'm saying is, (from my limited lvl 44 perspective) I would still prefer some tweaking to the combat system but I guess I could live with it if I had to. I'm just not used to fights being so short.
