Petition and Letter to Our Friends at Nevrax

Dear Nevrax,
We the undersigned members of your community are concerned with the way Patch 1 has turned out. We are displeased with the new combat system and we feel that it was never broken in the first place. The problem before was not the difficulty of the mobs, it was simply that Blind was being abused, therefore resulting in easier leveling. We are confused as to why we are being unintentionally "punished" with these new changes.
We feel that the previous combat damage system was perfectly fine and one of the most enjoyable factors of the game. We would like to see it returned to its previous state. In response to the fast leveling, we suggest fixing the Blind spell and increasing higher leveled mobs' Health Points instead of shifting the game's mechanics from one side of the spectrum to the other.
Some of us have felt like the new patch's combat adjustments have turned the game completely upsidedown. We feel as if this is just a nightmare and when we wake up, things will be back to the way they were before. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like we will ever wake up. I personally feel like my home team has just lost the Championship game. I hang my head in sadness as I watch something I've enjoyed for so long, strike out in the last out of the game. What was fun and envigorating before, is now a royal pain and no longer enjoyable.
We were enjoying The Saga of Ryzom more than any other game before Patch 1, and now after the patch went live, a lot of people are starting to look for other games on the shelves. We are not threatening you or giving you an "or else" warning. Instead we are requesting that you reconsider the design decisions you have made. We realize as game developers, you have a set goal for where you want this game to go. However, it has become apparent that your playerbase does not agree with your vision. We are finding it very difficult to grab enjoyment out of this game now that we can no longer go to the places we were once able to go to. Harvesters can no longer harvest due to enemies' damage and as a result, crafters are struggling to find materials. In turn, Fighters are having trouble getting the equipment they need due to this shortage. Players are scared to leave the cities alone. The sense of accomplishment has completely vanished from this game now.
Things seem to be way out of balance in the game and gameplay has been chaotic in the past 48 hours. We hope you reconsider your choices in combat design and find a median to where the your players can be happy again.
Sincerely
The Undersigned Members of Your Community
