Noticed no one seems to have seen this yet...

I've noticed two people have mentioned this so far, and no one has even bothered to comment on it yet. Has anyone even looked at how these changes affect the starting player? Has anyone bothered to make a lvl 1 char and TRY to play with the new combat system? I'm guessing almost no one has, because if they had, there would be way more commentary on the forums right now. Firstly, no lvl 1 player, whether they be a mage, a melee, or both, can kill a suckling yubo now. Period, end of story. If you don't believe me, go try it out and see for yourself. I've already watched 3 seperate people attempt it on the fyros newbie island. Each one managed to get a suckling yubo down to 60% health, before they died. Now, you tell me, is this intentional? I find it hard to believe that anyone, regardless of what they may have played in the past, would find such an arrangement to their liking. No one is going to want to die to the smallest mob in the game continuously for their first day in game. And since I haven't seen a single post regarding any upcoming changes to be made to the combat system, I'm more than a little concerned over whether or not there will be any new players at all at this point. Who's going to play if they can't lvl their char in anything other than harvest and craft?
Highly confused as to how this might have been overlooked.

Look at the euro-english boards there is a thread there about the uber yubos. I honestly wonder if the developers are hiding on the servers and waiting to hear: "Level 3 fighter looking for team to kill baby yubos, please send tell!"
Then they will all break out into laughter and wet themselves.
Hmm... I wonder how close that is to the mark?

Just imagine how much xp that suckling yubo would give to a level 1 now...
The ones outside of Fairhaven give me 3xp at level 53 elemental magic...
Suckling yubo's are the ubah mob of newb lands.... Good xp lots of hit points, doesn't hit very hard...

hey guys im the guy who realised this problem, my orginal char was delted somehow i dont know but i made a new one and so far i havent gained a single level in magic or fight. I have had to harvest the entire time, its pretty rediculous and the gms and guides think that aswell. For the moment I cant fight magic or craft, cant craft because the prices are so high for every single material and you dont exactly make money off of harvesting until you are alot better at it.
Its sickening to think that brand new players will never be able to progress magic or fight ever again.
(that is if they dont fix it soon)
From reading the customer service thread I can understand that this week has been a disaster for nevrax, i just hope they can fix this ASAP as harvesting is getting a little tedious at 45 on zorai island

I did this. And YES, a naked (in the CRAP armor you spawn in...might as well be neked) and wielding a crappy Q10 dagger of lightness, I was owned in about 20 seconds. I DID get the Yubo to roughly 60% health before he killed me.
These beasts now have WELL over twice the HP that they used to have, hit at LEAST twice as hard. One Kindness is that they are NOT social.
Ok, I DID manage to eventually kill one...how you ask, well I would LOVE to say easy...but it wasn't.
FIRST. I started with ONE magic action, one harvest and one craft (my standard start up package). I harvested my way to 11 or 12. Then go to HEAVY armor dealer, buy vest, pants and boots. Then craft with left overs from foraging OR forage until you have at least 20 of two or three materials. Then...Craft until you reach roughly 6 or 7th level. Sell ALL of your crafted junk. Buy a sword Q20 DAMAGE or SPEED..if it is there. Buy a Q20 dagger of damage OR speed.
NOW...Find the "dodge" or Parry button. Dodging is BUSTED do NOT bother with it, Click it to Parry...TRUST me on this one.
OK now look for a Suckling Yubo...IF you can find one that has been weeny gingo battled, and therefore softened up, DO IT...if not, get ready to die, but try anyway.
Equip all the heavy armor, the sword AND the dagger (left hand), and get far enough from guard to actually get the xp. Now pray, I don't care to what, ask for a swift death, of either the yubo, or YOU. Pull it with acid damage one, Now attack the Yubo.
I managed to kill the Yubo ALL decked out. Took one or two tries, but I leveled when he died.
NOW...I am assuming you leveled. Get yourself to the trainer and NOW!!!
Train self heal HP one. Trust me on this one. More hp will gain you ONE more Yubo hit...which is NOT much...HP heal will gain you TEN hits give or take. You can see why I said get the heal.
Next fighter level get increased damage. Mash this at start of EVERY battle, but be ready to hit HP heal and the crossed swords (when Stamina tanks, hit the swords to go to standard attack).
Ok now craft with the yubo looting, and get another bit of HEAVY armor. I would go with ballanced stats OR parry mod. Now...find another Yubo. You get the idea. Rinse repeat.
IF and when you die, which if a WEENY gingo finds you...you are short business for him. Grab your pick, strip and go to town on a node or two. With Q20 extraction...ONE node, POOF no dp.
I was up to Weanling Yubos by level 7 fighter.
MAX hps ASAP, Regen is kinda pointless since you will die and FAST if you don't have enough HP, but it will lower downtime, which it is silly but newbie fighters WILL have downtime. HP heal two is ok, but Increased damage is a MUST.
Mash that sucker and hold on tight.
I lucked out and saw a suckling yubo and a weeny gingo in battle. I helped the Yubo and got a VERY weakened Gingo which took TWO hits to kill. WOW 2k xp WOOT. And level 8 fighter.
It aint easy, and the days of running around noobieland neked are pretty much OVER. And if you "don't DO crafting" LOL you are pretty much SOL.

This is almost word for word what I did last night. It's the only way to get any Melee SP and I'm 100% sure it's broken. How would a newbie know about spending SP cross classes this tactically?
I have yet to get anywhere with magic though...

Heh, new character was made on my account yesterday just for the funo f it. Yubo's used me to wipe the snot from their noses. All I could say was glad I had a level 11 mage that could take a yubo out. Of course, I used to be able to solo Capryni, but I don't think I"ll try. LOL

ffs - this is very sad when a level 1 player cannot kill the very first mob you encounter in the game...
nice job
