Inventory sorting was removed .. I am not sure why.

For one thing is was nice to be able to sort the inventory .. Another is that it was a workaround for a bug that prevents you from moving items to and from packers/tradewindows.

I see no reason that this option was removed and would like it added back in the game.

The devs thought it was an exploit to be able to organize your inventory, cause in real life you just throw things into your backpack.

I agree. I like to have control over the sorting.

The automatic sorting they implemented doesn't keep resources of the same family together. For example, in my packer, I have a couple of stacks of Q50 Choice Lake Anete Fiber amongst many stacks of other types of fiber. While the auto-sort keeps all of the fibers together, it does not keep all of the Anete Fiber stacks together. The sorting within a type of resource (fiber, sap, etc.) seems to be random.

I logged a bug on this in the game but I figured I'd add it here too.

ROFL. I'm sure its a bug.. I can't see why anyone would remove it.. french or american

Hopefully it will be fixed too, but I got to admit it isn't nearly the pressing issue so many other things are at the moment.

just wish there was a Type of organizaton to it but oh well

Someone had the packer bug lastnight and I told them to sort .. was not happy when they told me it wasnt an option anymore

Thanks for posting on this Cerest, your job can't be easy especially at times like these. Its nice to see some time for less-than-absolutely-critical issues as well.

Hey .. It is critical! ... My packer was a mess lastnight .. I could not stand it so I ended up putting a bowrifle round in my packers lil head. I am sure my packer thought it was a critical issue... well it might have but the bowrifle round only did 2 damage to it and I was out of mats to make more ammo due to the harvesting changes ...
