Dont believe the hype

i love the way 1 person says "OMG its impossible to kill a scowling gingo it hits me for like a bajillion damage !! thats it, im quitting !".
I just logged in after the patch, looked for a scowling gingo, fought it.
It hit me for 180 damage (completely unarmored) a few times. Now while so many people stop at that, ill will continue...
I hit the gingo 3 times with my mace, doing 228 damage /hit, and it was dead...so a scowling gingo has no more than 750 hp, while they used to have approx 2-3 k hp.
If i recall correctly, when i was at lvl 50 melee, i ran like the wind at the sight of a scowling gingo because i knew the fight would exhaust me and ill die due to its hp. Now, after the patch, a lvl 50 meleer should have 600 odd HP and a heavy suit of armor, and should do approx 200-300 damage with a 2h weapon. So, u can hit a scowling gingo 3-6(varying damage) times considering it hits u every time for max damage (180/1.5-2) 90-120 ina a heavy suit, thus u will kill it. This patch actually makes soloing a bit easier. iirc, a scowling gingo gives 3k xp till approx lvl 60 or 70.
For those that complain soloing over 100 melee is too difficult now, well it was not really possible before the patch either.
This patch did make soloing easier for magi with the increase of spell damage,reduced mob hp, and reduced sp costs.
Harvestors....well i have nothing to say about that, its all been said.
Point being , its a little riskier to stroll around in the wilderness now, if u cant take it, dont play ryzom. Play pong maybe, i think its quite easy and quite challenge free...
