Wondering why if the server select page shows the server up (as does the web page) After hitting the accept button is the shard NOT availible??

Wish I knew... =P - Does not give me a warm comfy feeling that they can't get something as simple as status to work.. sheesh... =P

I heard that. I'm sure it's a very logical reason tho. Maybe fixing screwed up stuff on patch 1? (I can wish, can't I?!?!)

Server status is refering to servers being up and running. Shard closed mean they just don't accept any logins (most times do to internal testing). They should change their web page to show not the actuall status of the server but to the availability to the normal players.

After you applied a patch to a life server you want to make sure everything is working correctly. You can only do this with the server up and running. You block users from accessing the server till you are sure everything looks ok. Standard procedure for server services. *shrugs*

Areed. I use to run A MUD and I did the same thing. Test the new edits and block everyone else from entering until I was sure everything wouldnt crash my game.
