Hope not to open the 50 th topics....

Hi all.. i just finished to download the game (bought it online) patched and i can't log in (but characters creation is working)
But i keep crashing and getting this message... anyone has tips to help please?
This is the message i keep getting
RUNTIME ERROR
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way, please contact the application's support team for more informations.
So this is why i'm contacting you..

Hi Wereabb, I have a friend who had the same problem.
He was using ATI cards btw. Forced Ryzom to run on Direct3D and everything's okay. See if this works for you.

i think u meant he forced ryzom to run on Open GL, as it automatically insists on running on direct 3d, which is usually best for ati cards.

Initially had a similar problem caused by Norton Firewall running as well as XP firewall. Turned it off and it worked ok. The next time I ran SoR Norton worked fine so it was just a one-off glitch.

Thx u all guys.. too bad i couldnt fix the problem either switching to open gl nor by switching firewall off... i mailed technical help too..they answered the same things you said guys (so far at least)
I even borrowed the 2 cd from a friend and tried to install them... well it may be incredible but the intaller crashes telling me that an installing file is corrupted...
I did try even while copying the whole cd (both) on hd and install from there... no way either.
Yes i am using radeon 9800 pro.
And all others games are working (and installing fine)
I played lotsa mmorpg uo daoc swg lineage 2 and so on.
It's the first time i have so many problems
even the guild wars events is working .,... hehe
