Well after getting 4 characters up to 50th level in all 4 races...I have come to one conclusion...this game is the opposite of fun. If one were to look up "Grind" in the dictionary...Ryzom would be posted there. On every character I crafted my own armor and or weapons. I foraged up to 50th on 4 characters...and was never able to forage the one material I longed for the most...."Fun".
So without further ado...and no melodramatic farewell speeches...see ya all in WOW. 2 weeks and counting...now I am off to get this turd deleted from my Harddrive...Cya in the funnypapers.

Funny....
I'm having fun....
But I imagine people look at things from different perspectives...
Like the devs said, this game is not designed for the WoW audience. Guess doing consumer research before making a purchase would have been the way to go~

"If one were to look up "Grind" in the dictionary...Ryzom would be posted there."
Could be re-written as:
If one were to look up "Grind" in the dictionary...<insert name of any MMORPG ever made here> would be posted there.
Sorry, it is the nature of the beast. It is my understanding that WoW has about the same depth as CoH, easy leveling, loads of killing, not much point. I played CoH for a couple months and left, totally bored. On the other hand, Ryzom has a point, but you will need to wait a little while to see clearly what it is.
Perhaps when you get bored with WoW you will come back and be able to see things more clearly.
I wish you well in all of your MMORPG travels, and perhaps our paths will cross again.

Sounds like maybe you tried to be a loner and solo to much in the game.
Need to be around more people. I have a lot of fun and even bust up laughing all the time when I'm with my guild. We hunt and hang out and make jokes all the time it's great.

Whats wrong with needing to solo????
Some people have a great deal of trouble in understanding that some people cant or dont want to group.
For me I have heaps of real life family comittments that mean I cannot group hardly ever - let that SINK into you grey cells now for 10 mins - take a deep breath and realise that other people just just just may be in a completely diiferent position in real life to you.

Damn, jump down someones throat for making a suggestion. Sounds like you need to follow your own advice as well.

nah just sick of people that seem to think that everyone should be able to group - way too many think that because way too many dont have 24hr responsibilities and untill you have its too hard to understand those that do.
Chill out a bit - its no biggie

christ, if you got the time to play for 5min, then you got the time to group for 5 min.
and if you have to go away for one min every 30 sec, then find a bigger group that can handle things on their own. that way you can go off whenever you want to...
i did alot of soloing and was then asked to join a guild, now i only log on and theres always somone in the guild that wants to group, or ill just ask global chat...
