Bouncy music plays, much like those 50s black and white "educational films" that used to be on MST3K.
I want a GM wedding. But how do I get one?
We're glad you asked. It's simple. Contact Shadowthorn or Takashi via the Klients chat program. You can get it here: http://www.ryzom.com/?page=support_chat We're also working on getting our own email address.
How do I know which one is them?
If they're around, you'll see Takashi and/or Shadowt in the list of people on the right-hand column. They'll have little squiggly symbols beside their names These are the Marks of Power, burned into their very flesh...(Shadowt will be easily identified, as he'll be babbling out things like this)
How does this work?
We work out a date and time and place. One of us shows up and pronounces you married, usually with some big elaborate words.
Are there rules?
Ha ha! Of course there are!
1. All GM Weddings are public events. They will be announced here and in-game and everyone is invited to attend. This will not be a small intimate occasion with all your friends in some secret spot.
2. As of right now, it's RP only. There's no in-game benefit to being married, other than a chance to hang out and roleplay and hear Shadowthorn use the word "eldritch" if it strikes his fancy.
3. That also means no phat lewt, no titles, etc. At least, as of right now.
4. A wedding is a formal occasion. A GM will be there. Horseplay, Zany hijinks, and acting out of line will be harshly punished with GM Justice. We will all be on our best behavior or the smiting will commence.
5. You get one wedding. We're not doing GM Divorce Court or GM Judge Judy. Keep this in mind. GM Thunderdome may not be entirely out of the question.
So, who will preside over this blessed occasion?
GM Takashi or GM Shadowthorn will preside, though we can probably do something a little more in character if a guy with a big glowing staff doesn't quite set the mood you're going for. Whereas Takashi takes a more understated approach, Shadowthorn is more prone to, as Mr. T would say, "Jibber Jabber".
So, who can get married?
Any two people. We will consider NPCs if it amuses us.
Wait, so two guys can get married?
If you're asking because you want to get married, yes. If you're asking to try and start a flame war, see below.
<Rambling Political/Moral Argument>
Flamewars are why we can't have nice things. Weddings are a chance for everyone to have a little fun. If people insist on starting flame wars on the boards or in game and causing problems, we will stop doing them and/or administer swift and terrible GM Justice.
How can I understand half the jokes made in this FAQ/Thread?
Rent The Princess Bride.
