You DONT have to install ANYTHING!

Just unrar or unace the file to the place on your HD where you wanne have it, and then just hit the client_ryzom file in that map, or make a shortcut to it on your desktop.

So I just have to uncompress it on a folder called c:\ryzom and double-click client_ryzom file? Is that all?

I am still downloading the file .... another 5 hours to go.

Yes, I have been playing the game for 2 days now. The FIRST thing to do is double-click on Ryzom_recover. That will bring up a DOS window which download files such as ryzom_configuration_rd (for game configuration) and client_ryzom_rd (to start the game). The SECOND thing I did after all the download was to double-click on client_ryzom_rd which started the game... logged in, patch download (another hour) and character creation... and I am in !
