completely off topic and something that doesn't belong on the board, but i flew back into logan for the first time in 7 weeks in time to watch the 8th and 9th - and then saw the celebration in person.

may ryzom have the same luck.

Frankly this years world series was the most anticlimatic ever. After the 7 game marathons in both LCS series', the World Series was just downright boring.

btw, why wouldn't this be an appropriate topic? It's on the general boards....

what are you talking about...most anti climatic world series....redsox came back after being down by 3 in the play offs to win it...first time in baseball history...and then swept the cardinals to win the world series after 86 years since the last win by the redsox...anticlimatic...man you need to stop watching baseball....thats about as exciting as it gets.

I thought this was off topic too, then realized its kind of refreshing to read a post that doesn't start with "The problem with Ryzom is..."

The reason that the WS was anticlimactic was that the excitement happened in the playoffs and the series itself was a boring sweep. Sweeps are boring for all but the most ardent fans.

Bah, the Yankees felt sorry for you Red Sox fans so they let you win one. Don't expect that to happen again.

Yes Korin, it was very kind of the Yankees to let the Red Sox win one. I'm sure that's what all Yankee fans are telling themselves to ease the pain of their epic and history making demoralization at the hands of the Red Sox. Yankee fans should really try to spend less time in denial so that they can concentrate their efforts on coddling the bloated, overpaid egos of their players and management.

It was indeed kind of the Yankees to let the Red Sox have one so that the whole country could see once again that a team with heart and love of the game will win over a team with an overpriced price tag and an army of head shrinkers. I'm sure that the Yankee players and fans will take solace in their gift of a championship to the Red Sox as the sporting world explores the collapse of the overpaid empire.

Red Sox nation is grateful as well as the rest of the sporting world, not because the Yankees letting the Red Sox win a championship, but for allowing them the opportunity to prove once again that a team built on comraderie and fun will always win over a team built on money.

Much thanks to the Yankees.....

Red Sox Win........Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Red Sox win!

not really. The WS was no struggle, no edge of your seat "this could be the end", no drama.

Yay, the sox won after 86 years, but that is the ONLY thing memorable about the series. Compared to the pennants, this was an absolute yawn.

You won! wow after 86 years... It wasn't our fault you traded Babe Ruth to us. Don't blame it on the overinflated salary. Some of those redsox players are pushing big numbers too.
