I am new to crafting and would like to spec entirely on Jewelry. Well I am currently level16 in crafting from making earings only. My question is; when will i have options to new Jewelry plans? I was told I would get them at lvl 20. Anyone know if that is the case? Any help with this will be appreciated.
Anyone want some earings ... lol

Lvl 21.
Better make some light boots till 21, advancing with earrings is a little...slow. Be warned, though, that lvling jewels is the far most tendious crafting tree.

Once you get 100 skill points in crafting you can buy a new recipe. I went with braclets and they use more mats hence more experience. Its not fast but its steady especially since I found a nice spot for lots of seeds and amber. A full set of jewelry is expensive to train and getting them ready for market with bonuses (HP, Sap, Focus, Stamina) is just as expensive. Most stick to one bonus, HP for the most part. Can it be done? yes. There seems to be at least one person in every land that calls out "WTS 10 piece set, 450 HP bonus, 450k, PST" It isn't me... but everyone in my guild wears my bracelets!

I'll second this. You'll need the SPs from the other crafting lines to buy your recipes later anyway. Until you hit 20 anything you craft goes toward crafting so don't bother making earrings until you hit 20. When you buy your next jewelry plan you have three options:
1. Buy diadem - it use the most mats and thus gives the best xp per combine
2. Buy Bracelet - If you want to sell to other players bracelets give the best xp return of the paired items.
3. Wait until you get to the mainland to buy your next pattern and then buy whatever the Overseer is giving missions for. Overseer missions usually give more dapper than the vendor cost of materials so they're free xp.
Personally, I'd buy diadem as soon as you can and get whatever the mainland overseer wants as your third pattern. You won't be all that competitive in the jewelry market right away anyway, so don't sweat making full sets right away. If you can stand it, you might consider staying on the newbie island until you can make your third pattern and pick one of the paired plans. I suspect plenty of people there would pay well for a set of 5 pieces of Jewelry with +10 hp each. You can set build up a little nest egg for the ML and get some free xp at the same time.
When you hit 21 and your crafting splits, be sure and have melee crafting, armor crafting and ammo crafting (you can pick up ranged weapon crafting later, ammo crafting gives you better ranged weapon xp for now). Level up those lines using the starter plan each gives you and use those points to buy your jewelry plans. If you buy the next level each time you raise your skill by ten you'll be able to get jewelry patterns 300% easier.

I will warn you now. If your not a serious crafter then don't bother with jewelry. Becasue xp is based on the number of materials used it takes a lot more work to level up jewelry then any other craft. Also until you get stat bonuses, jewelry is worthless. You can't see it when its worn, so if it adds nothing to your stats no one wants it. Jewelry splits into individual patterns at level 50, unlike armor or weapon crafting which splits into the individual patterns at level 100. So upon reaching level 51 you have to level earings seperately from bracelets and so on. This may sound discouraging but I'm trying to let you know what your infor. It took me 70 Q50 earings to level from level 54 to 55 last night. I'm only getting 127xp per combine.

yup jewels are so annoying to craft...im a fyrosian jewel crafter myself and im about to the point where i can't use storebought mats to level because its too tedious...im 60-63 in all crafts except diadem is 70 and its a waste of money to use storeboughts...100k will get me a level...maybe 2
But i can't get harvested mats in the quan i need...need to work on harvesting myself but thats my problem
You also can't use fighters to give you grind because the herbivores drop so few you can make 1 diadem every 30 kills
Id say youd either have to have a couple dedicated harvesters with you or harvest yourself to be a jewel crafter...but im gettin through it....and by level 70 you can pretty much have all of the boosts etc if you don't craft anything else

hmmmm.... and I'd suggest going with something other than HP for your stat boosters... the current market seems saturated with people making HP boosting pieces and a severe lack of crafters making SAP/Focus/Stamina boosting pieces. I have a full set of HP boosting jewls from my guild jewler, but it's to hold me over til someone else gets good with the Focus jewlry....
